Mont Royal is the gem of Montreal! During your vacation, get ready for an unforgettable experience as you enjoy views of the cityscape at 234m, the highest point of the park .
Beautiful place for a run or walk, and your prize for making it to be top is a gorgeous view of the city of Montreal. If you want a really hard workout, run the stairs all the way up!
Some of Olmstead's best work. Worth the stair trip to the top for the views . Beware of dudes offering weed at the Rue Rachel entrance. (A shake of the head seems to ward them off.)
Come for the view , stay for the trails . I spent ~10 minutes enjoying the view of the skyline but my favorite part of this park was wandering around the trails !
Quite a nice view here, very quiet also. It's not a very large park so anyone can finish hiking in half a day. A little bit dangerous during snow season, because of the ice on the trails .
Beautiful escape to nature in the center of Montreal. The hike up to the top is good exercise and you get amazing views of downtown from the top. Cross-country skiing during winter.
The beautiful view of Montréal. A superb walk through the nature. In winter is awesome and in Autumn should be nice with all colored trees .
Great views if you're willing to hike a little. There's a hippie fest every Sunday - http://www.tourisme-montreal.org/What-To-Do/Events/les-tam-tams-du-mont-royal
Best view of the city and quite the hike with many stairs. Chateau is unremarkable, but it's nice to get out in nature. Don't expect it to be breathtaking, but make time if you can.
Excellent views of the city . If you're coming from the Mile End side, cut through the beautiful cemetery . Follow the green line to the top
This mountain is at the center of our magnificient city ; from a long walk to the top or a rigorous jog, find your peace as you make your way up the trails and discover spectacular views .

Great place to have a nap or to hang out with friends. Come on Sundays in the summer for tam tams drum circle .
Trek towards the top of Mount Royal where you can watch over the city . There are heaps of runners and plenty of good segments on Strava.
Take a walk up to the top to get great views of the city , pack a lunch and chill out in the grass at the bottom. Bring a bottle vino with your packed lunch .
Beautiful park and amazing view from the top! Great for walking, jogging or simply to enjoy a sunny day.
Intense hike , but so very worth the trip.
Follow the stairs at the end of Peel street that will lead you to Chalet du Mont Royal. This is the quickest way.
For a breathtaking bird's-eye view of the city , this is the place to go. Be prepared to encounter bold raccoons living in the trees . They won't shy away from anyone.
Great place, beautiful view of the city . It’s a great place to visit all year!
Nice scenic view at the top, walk from the parking lot to the scenic view area is not long at all.
The breathtaking view at the summit is well worth the climb. Gorgeous!
Great views . If you’re visiting, be sure to take the path behind McGill that leads up the mountain . That’s your fastest way to the top.
A great hike with a lovely view of the city at the summit! There are even these great markers that point out locations in the distance
Massive park by McGill, steep but leads up to a clear view of downtown by the chalet
The highest point in Montreal! Stop by on a Sunday and see “tam-tams” – where people get together and bang on drums. As recommended by Travel Channel host, Anthony Bourdain .
Bring comfy shoes and a picnic ! Worth the hike up to the plateau.
Forrest in the city with great views
Great park , very nice view of Montreal. Is a must here in this beautiful city .
Beautiful park with wonderful views all over Montreal - lovely in late spring when the flowers are out.
My favorite place to go running at 7am. You almost get the mountain to yourself and the lookout is so peaceful .
The view is absolutely amazing, but be ware of the icy walk to the look out point.
The off-road trails are amazing! I walked up so many times and never realized how soft and wild some parts are. Start near the cross for best results.
Make time to visit this beautiful park ! Walk up the stairs or take the serpentine flat road
Amazing views across the city . A must visit in Montreal.
Very nice walk. Great views . The croix du mont royal is a little underwhelming but the rest of the park is nice
Long walk up the hill so take the bus nos 11 and 711 go up there 10 cad for a day pass which includes the metro

The green lung of Montréal. Peaceful atmosphere . The view from the top is amazing !
Outstanding hiking trails with city views .
If there's snow on the ground , purchase a sled from a nearby store and hit some of the slopes in this large park .
Grab Your Camera . Spring Migration is Happening Now!
Beautiful park , but you might find yourself in the cemetery at one point and it's a bit creepy.
Great place to ressource yourself during a sunday and to admire Montréal from top.
It’s worth the walk! What an amazing view of the city !
An easy urban hiking area. Great park with lots of areas to run, bike , or picnic !
