The first floor rooms, located behind the front desk are the hidden gems the Crown Plaza . While they're the only smoking rooms available, the odd numbered rooms have a pool facing private patio .
Breakfast buffet is really good and so is the wait staff . Hotel staff very pleasant and courteous. Soda machine only takes credit card :-( so don't walk ALL the way to it without it...No dollars!
A power strip in each room is a nice touch for gear monkeys. Concierge gave his cell # to help after hours. Great staff ! The 3 days here have been the most positive hotel experience I've had in years!
This is a great hotel the entire staff is amazing. I had a slight problem when I arrived and ev everyone took very good care of me.. special thanks to the GM Randy - Rudy - Paul and others
Nice rooms. Awesome outside area. Had no issues with the internet. CD player in room. Some of the housekeeping could use a friendliness class . Overall a great place to stay
I stayed here because all the downtown hotels were booked for a big event . Not only was I far from all the fun (lots of Uber trips), it was just barely tolerable. And rain leaked into my carpet.
Great service, nice folks and they have gone the extra mile to make sure we had a great experience! Kevin at the front desk rocks.
We got upgraded for free:) they gave us free breakfast- omelets to order, yum????????
5dollar breakfast buffet ...excellent. The breakfast sausage is simply amazing.
Use the Lavender Linen Spray as a quick "tide me over" deodorant or breath freshner until the gift shop opens. This is not medical advice. ;-)
Great rooms great staff
Old property with some light remodeling. It's just ok. Definitely not as nice as some of the other IHG properties. The accessible room sucks (behind elevator ), but I got thru Priceline for $50
Clean , friendly and yes WiFi does exist!!!
This place is rough. Wifi is ok, but all the smoking rooms are on the first floor and you never really get away from that smell. Lukewarm shower too. Big bunch of blah.
The hotel has been pretty good about a free shuttle in the AM to the SXSW event , they can't pickup in evening but will drop off at convention center in AM
Internet is below par. Kristen at front desk is slightly more rude than expected. Breakfast is expensive . No laundry room on site. Rooms are on the smaller side. Lots of parking .
Hey crowne plaza where's my complimentary pouch with mask, lavender spray and earplugs?!?
Need to improve internet access! Nice rooms though!
The wifi is not a bad as some of the other tips here will lead you to believe. Perhaps they upgraded.
Nice hotel . Room service has to many fees however $2 tray fee plus 18% service fee and then tax and tip?
This place is a bit run down and in serious need of a makeover. My room smelled of detergent, but was otherwise decent.
Took wayyy too long to check in. attendant kept answering phone and focusing on other things. Lame room and no puch with mask, spray, earplugs etc as is customary at most crowne plazas
Pool is small and hit tub smelled like dead fish . We got the hotel thru Hotwire for $63 a night so we can't complain too much. Shuttle was never available though they had us wait for it each time.
Odd numbered rooms face the highway and are loud .
Omg, I stayed with my airline and it sucks. Van to pick us up to from the airport took just about an hour to get to the airport . The beds was good but the reception (front desk was not friendly ).
Ask for a Crowne!
Yes it's true. The Internet is non existent.
Try the trolls!
:( rooms not ready n it's a long hot ride from Shreveport.
Free shuttle to the airport doesn't start till 6 am
Try the Beds!
Guest services was awful. Check in was at 3 and our rooms were not ready until 7. Rooms are nice and updated, but the rest of the faciltities look like a cheesy Las Vegas hotel .
This hotel is HORRIBLE!!!????
It was Hot!!!!
Not worth the $. Double beds are so tiny, not big enough for 2 ppl. No Queens. There aren't enough outlet plugs in the room. One behind nightstand is used & ghetto same for tv . Lamp plugs don't fit!!!
Eh employe for another ihg properity got a room facing highway so was loud & internet blah. Also not king bed like requested.
Will not want to stay here again and present this my hotel committee.
Internet sucks. Probably one residential DSL line for entire hotel .
Not impressed. Dirty room. Staff is hit or moss but I'd expect more. Only staying here as a last resort . Internet works fine.
Poor customer service! You'd be better off staying at a Holiday Inn .
This hotel is a dump . Avoid it.
Eh. I like Holiday Inn better and its the same price pretty much.
Don't rely on their internet. It doesn't work
Rubbish, slow Internet. Yeah.
No hot water.....
The 7 course wine pairing was awesome! Celebrated a belated anniversary and made us feel at home. Meal was exquisite and wine took it home. If you're in the area, this is a must! - Art
Wonderful place. More upscale than the UT location. Will definitely stay here again. Staff was courteous. Place was peaceful, clean. And a great deal! $ - Cesca Rezaie
Had a great experience & loved the convenient location to downtown. King room had sleep number bed :) - Caitlin Kaluza
Great waitstaff. Awesome food. Love the tortillas. - Jennifer Reiney
check out the happy hour is great - Christine Sy
