Memphis Marriott

Now the Hotel Memphis. Just checked in. The front desk greeted me warmly and the room seems very comfortable . People complained about car break-ins. There is an iron fence surrounding the property.

Even if you leave the "do not disturb" sign up, they leave fresh towels and toiletries in a basket by your door! This works for me, as I often don't want maid service coming in. :)

Great customer service from the staff ! Would definitely stay here more often if the hotel was in a better location.

Did learn that most times 10 mins mean 30, but drivers & restaurant staff were extremely friendly . Decor could use some updating Water beading through the walls and a big bug "sleeping" in the closet.

No problems here! Very clean room and helpful staff as usual

Good points: the beds are AMAZING, and the staff is wonderful. Bad points: don't even bother with breakfast , unless you're getting pancakes . The hash browns are mushy and bland.

FYI-All full service Marriott hotels charge for wifi . Get yourselves to platinum status and you won't have to pay.

3 cars were broken into in the parking lot . Don't park by the fence -- try to get as close to the front as possible.

Taco Bell nearby makes some mean crunchy tacos .

The Hotel restaurant is way overpriced and the Internet costs $12.95 for 24 hours ... Go stay at a Days Inn , you'll get a much better value.

9 cars were broken into last night! On top of that I had a very large cockroach in my room. Wouldn't stay here if you don't have to.

seems pretty outrageous they would charge for wifi
