It's the most authentic edo-mae (江戶前) style sushi restaurant in San Diego. Food made with fresh ingredients in best quality. Seats are limited but feel cozy and spacious . Worth every dollar you spend.

L. Q.

I had the omakase . No regrets. An amazing traditional Japanese restaurant . Probably the best (and biggest) oyster of my life. There were several types of fish . Highly recommend.

Catherine Torelli

Far and away the best sashimi in town . We sat next to the owner of Sushi Ota and he said this is where he goes when he wants sushi . Can't get a much bigger compliment than that.

Marc R

Fresh authentic sushi made my Japanese chefs . Ryozen friendly and great sushi chef at the bar . You can tell the quality in the sushi with the balance of rice , fresh seaweed , and fish .

Yu Sunny Han

Authentic Edo era sushi . Rare finds like Golden Eye Snapper , Kohada, and Zuke Tuna . Rare gem.

Steven Y

Their sashimi selection is limited, but what they serve is incredibly fresh - in particular the live sweet shrimp

Catherine Torelli

Omakase . The courses all compliment the plate before and after. And of course everything is so fresh. The chef is precise and has chosen quality over quantity.

Very good♥ saba, sake , n uni were very fresh, love it! Don't forget to get the sesame ice cream ~ ;)

Christopher Horton

Uni is amazing here. Every piece of sushi is well thought out. But simple.

Brett Schellenberg

Best sushi in SD, better than Ota. Real small venue , chefs were super nice.

Joe Lin

Nigiri omakase is awesome here. Good selection and each piece is detailed

DJ P

There is nothing like hanging out with Soichi at the sushi bar and eating copious amounts of fresh San Diego uni with pink Himalayan sea salt .

Christine Wang

Similar quality as Sushi Ota but much easier to get a table without a horrendous wait. Also you can order sushi by the piece instead of by 2's

Sam D

The Omakase experience was truly one of a kind.

Roger Ma

Get their chef 's special! Heaven on earth!!

Silly Solly

The whole menu rocks but the nachos and tots were the best. Happy Hour specials were great. Off the beaten path so parking was good. Great patio. Tap list is top notch. - Aaron Stroud
