Well worth it. Delicious food. We had the Elote, guacamole , pork tamal , and smoked chicken enchiladas . All were amazing. The margaritas are also very good and they have a nice selection of tequilas .
Spectacular food! Limited hours (dinner only 5-9pm) but amazing & worth any wait. Enjoyed house made margaritas , the Elote corn & avocado aps, smoked chicken enchiladas & pork cheeks . Oh the dessert !
Worth every second of the wait. The elote is amazing to start but you MUST try the ahi tacos . Order 2x if you have more than 2 people. And the lamb is an absolute must have. 5 stars!
Oh my, such an amazing meal. The namesake street corn is a great start. Smoked pork cheeks are a fine entree. Oh, the kids menu is as good as the regular menu. Plus the margaritas , and the cookbook .
La plata margarita special , elote , tamales , carne asada , pastel de elote , cafe elote ... All so good! Get there early because the line is no joke
Ok. Let me introduce to you: your perfect night. Appetizer: Elote (just do it). Main: Pork Cheeks . Desert : EVERYTHING. This place just has it all: atmosphere, good service and AMAZING food.
Eat anything. Eat everything. Worth the wait and the wait is worth your weight in mezcal ...which you will drink. Start with the Elote and end with chocolate pie + almond tequila ; can’t go wrong.
Spectacular views and best Mexican around! Chipotle shrimp is wonderful. Try the house specialty corn dip to start... roasted corn will pleasantly surprise you.
The wait was an hour but there's a bar you can order drinks from an a patio seating area. The smoked pork cheeks were amazing and so tender. The elote was good, but not as amazing as described by all.
Everything is great. Try the signature Elote. It is awesome! The sea bass was good, cooked just right and the sauce was amazing. The pork cheeks were also great.
Elote appetizer is a MUST!! Also, very good margaritas !! Hint: try their free popcorn while you wait. .. very unique and flavorful.. if you like the seasoning(and you will) they have it for purchase
The smoked pork cheeks are ridiculously good. So are the desserts ! It will be at least an hour wait, but so worth it and complemented by ginger margaritas and spicy popcorn .
A Fodors choice and completely deserving. Try the elote (a creamy corn salsa )...a hit with everyone at the table. And the scallops were corn crusted and flash fried to perfection.
Upscale Mexican food . Well worth the waiting time of 45min to be seated. Everything we tried was excellent. Elote corn , lamb , enchiladas , elote corn pie , guacamole .
The elote and the pastel de elote were amazing. Also try the guava jalapeño mezcal margarita while you wait
The elote appetizer is amazing. The margaritas are top notch-- try the basil rosemary one if you like a little twist.
Chef Jeff Smedstad serves some of the best Oaxacan fare you’ll have in your life. Enjoy a margarita at the bar while you wait. The lamb , pork , guacamole & elote are musts. Indulge in the pumpkin flan . Read more
Pricey , but wellllll worth it for the super delicious Mexican food . Loved the buffalo mole and carne asada .
The Pork Cheeks and Corn Tamales are both to die for. One of the finest southwest restaurants , period.
Get the red sangria - it's delish! And don't pass on the popcorn , it's seasoned and addictive. Make sure your phone is charged so you can play a game while you wait for your table.
Extremely long wait , but well worth it. Carnitas were amazing, but don't leave without trying the Pastel de Elote for dessert . Unbelievably amazing!
Everything I have ever had here is good. Seafood is especially good. Hopefully they bring the scallops back they were the best!
This is my favorite restaurant here. The braised pork cheek is one of the ten best things I have ever eaten, anywhere. Get ready for a long wait to eat; bring friends, or make some on the patio !
Smoked chicken is the best worth the wait ????????
Sooooo worth the wait. Must get the Elote dip . Best Mexican food I've ever had, and I'm an AZ native. A must eat place in Sedona.
Split an appetizer with your date, I recommend the Carne Asada and Carnitas , then split the Crepas de Cajeta.
Try the Pastel De Elote - Corn cake with sweet corn ice cream , berry jam , house made dulce de leche, whipped cream and freeze dried corn kernels. Amazing.
Best authentic Mexican food ever. The wait is WELL worth it. The FEW people that said it is not are absolutely clueless.
Green corn tamale appetizer and carnitas for the entree and Crepes for dessert
Must try the green corn tamale , carne asada , and crepas for desert .
We got there at 8:30pm and walked right in :D...Food was great! Margaritas Amazing! We had the Blood Orange & Cucumber specials!
Try the Smoked Pork Cheeks - Jovial Jim's Smoked Pork Cheeks = Served with slow-simmered tomato sauce , Green Chile corn fritters , lime aioli and dry Jack Chicharron 18.00
It's an hour and a half wait so put your name on the list and head next door over to Mooney's Irish Pub and have a few drinks while you are waiting.
A cup of decaf Firecreek house-roasted coffee and the Canela ice cream is the perfect finish to any of the excellent entrees...
Order the Elote (Mexican street corn )! It's absolutely delicious. Don't let the old hotel exterior fool you..the inside is awesome!
A gem in a town with surprisingly few good restaurants . When we walked in at 6:15 pm Sat night, the wait was already 90 mins. But it was definitely worth the wait. The food is THAT good.
It is always a great meal and Guermo was an awesome server! Keep up the great work Jeff!
Everything is truly amazing!! The seafood tacos will blow your mind...
The salsa was incredible. The lamb was enough to split with someone, and had a tasty sauce.
Try the Carnitas - Alice's Carnitas = Slow-roasted all natural pork shoulder served with Arbol salsa , Guacamole and Pico de Gallo 18.00
In my opinion Elote Cafe is the best restaurant in Sedona!!!
Come early, plan to wait. You won't be disappointed. Outstanding food and service. Try the guac app & the chile relleno .
Get the lamb !
Best fish and shrimp tacos I've ever tried - something about the marinade . Their sauces are so fresh and delicious; the attention to detail is right on.
It’s a bit of a wait but every dish we ordered was fantastic
Elote! Corn is taken off the cob and served with lime/chicken stock reduction
As everyone here says "the elote " is a must and I agree. Limited vegetarian options .
Enchiladas were great. I would never wait 1.5 hours for that again though. Go right when it opens!
The best restaurant in Sedona, but still mediocre food. Good cocktails though.
you're going to wait at least an hour for a table. but try the elote & it'll be worth it :)
The Javeline margaritas are good! And their salsa is amazing! - Chelsea Fitzgerald
Got a sampler special. All their meats were very flavorful. Salsa verde was excellent. Highly recommended. - Campbell Bird
