One of the daily breakfast special was an Indonesian staple “mie bakso ”. It’s a noodle soup dish with meatballs . Loved the myriad of aromas from the spices from the bowl
Babi guling. If u wish to try this local delicacy (roasted pig ), enquire with the staff . Probably the best we’ve had from Bali. We enjoyed the myriad of condiments the kitchen prepared
Seasonal fruits is an easy way to explore tropical offerings. If u r staying multiple nights, u can indicate what u like more of (we enjoyed their local jackfruit ), & what can be excluded
Sautéed tofu with flavourful moringa leaf dhal & spelt chapatti. Served with bean poriyal, chickpea masala & ginger chutney . Colourful & love the aroma from the spices used
“Real Toast ” is laborious to make. The “toast ” is almond , flaxseed & sunflower seed , blended with the pulp of peppers , cucumber , carrot & apple . Flattened paste is turned in a dehydrator for 16 hours!
Enjoyed their house croissants : butter & chocolate , but not so much of the almond ones ???? Chef mentioned they blended the flour to make the recipe healthier yet remaining light
Home-made honey granola . I enjoyed this as a cereal, together with coconut milk yogurt , which has a creamy & aromatic finish. Good jaw workout too ????
Chia seed pudding . Enjoyed this superfood for breakfast . Topped with a refreshing purée of mango , passion fruit & coconut , I know I’m getting a healthy dose of antioxidants ????
Eggs your way, with colourful & multi-textured accompaniments of: sweet corn cake , roasted tomato , mushrooms , curly kale , avocado , chicken sausage or smoked salmon
Coconut yogurt is plant-based. If you’re vegan or lactose intolerant, this can be an alternative to the dairy option. It has a pleasant aroma too
Eat like a local. Ask for the raw long beans . Dip into the lightly spiced paste for flavour, and enjoy the crunchy pre-meal snack
Scrambled tofu with peppers , and garnished with corn , avocado , tomato & coriander . A predominantly sour dish, so I didn’t enjoy it as much as ????
Clean-tasting almond & cinnamon scented porridge , sweetened with papaya & banana , & topped with coconut slices for crunch. Served NOT hot
Ayam Taliwang uses free range chicken . Braised & grilled, it has a smoky flavour yet kept moist in the coconut curry
Karedok salad made from slices of cucumber , palm heart & jicama was crunchy. Nice touch with the citrusy crushed cashew dressing
Fried red rice . Can taste bland but we know it’s healthy ???? Served with tempeh (fermented soya beans ), veges & egg crepe
Tumis Pakis. Apparently, the fern tips (paku pakis) used in this dish has to be foraged as they cannot be cultivated. Unique crunchy texture & aroma
As rustic as it gets. Tiles with simple hand-painted patterns. When one gets damaged, just make another ????
Nut , seed & dried fruit muesli . Not as boring as it sounds when served topped with freshly julienned apples & pear
Kenus Bumbu Kuning is slices of local squid , wok-fried with turmeric for the yellow sauce. Aromatic
While waiting for your meal to be prepared, explore the wooden carvings all around the restaurant
Jajan Rasa Jahe. As a ginger & jackfruit pudding , it tasted more like a sponge cake . A light dessert
Their rum & raisin ice-cream is very nice!
