One of the best tea houses in the world, Wistaria couples a strong political & cultural history with top quality Chinese & Taiwanese teas . An ideal place to learn about classic gongfucha preparation.
wonderful tea house with a wide selection of tea (all with their own story) and snacks . a pot is around 300-400 NTD, refillable. friendly staff that speak English and teach you how to prepare the tea .
Slightly out-of-the-way of the hustle-and-bustle, this tea house offers a wide variety of Chinese teas , and prepared in the traditional way. Snacks are also available. Quiet and serene atmosphere.
Totally magical. This tea room transports you through time through their traditional decor and aromatic tea selections . They teach you how to serve tea the first round - what an experience!
A favorite place from the time we lived in Taipei over 30 years ago. And it’s continues to be one of the best traditional tea shops in the city .
My favorites here are usually the Oolong teas . I enjoy the Yushan High Mountain Oolong. The staff is usually very knowledgeable and helpful in choosing a tea and teaching you the art of the pour.
Classical Chinese tea and simple gourmet food in a turn-of-the-century Japanese home. One of the special treats of Taipei.
Relaxed traditional place to have tea . Very professional. Mochis are good. Booking recommended.
Nice antik decoration, peaceful place , great teas , Gong Fu Cha advices and choice of main area or tatami more isolated rooms. The menu in English is full of knowledge and elegance.
Request tatami seat and get some puer tea w dried mango . They'll walk you thru all the steps. Watch your head if you're 6' tall.
Staffs have realiable knowledge on tea rituals. They are willing to communicate in English and explain to your questions. I r ecommend the dried tomatoes as a side dish. Spend at least 1h here.
waitress guided how to make tea and taste it steps by steps, make u feel quite elegant. lunch set is available. bit noisy in the room. the sticked rice balls is a great desert.
Recommend the 2006 banzhang puerh tea and the vegetarian dish with juicy mushrooms
Nice ceremonial Taiwanese tea but beware of mosquitos! Only place I got bit in Taipei
They charge a water fee (like most teahouses). Just remember, you're paying for the ambiance, so make sure you take your time and enjoy!
Clichéd but really is so great and special.
