How it got its name has been lost in the formstone mists of Canton. Opened in 1948, the Sip & Bite became a word-of-mouth sensation after George Vasiliades began ladling out homemade specials to waterfront regulars who knew the value of a buck and the taste of real food.

everything ! from quick eggs and coffee to go, to platters, Greek specialties, with lamb , according to your patience, or lack of it ! they are as considerate, or as tough as you, or as Ravens get !
Crab cakes were (LARGE) very nice. Filled with jumbo lump, Good prices. Gyro was nice also. Menu is substantial and quite diverse. Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives was on point in reviewing this one!
Get the DDD platter if you want to try what was on the show! Small place so you may have to wait but it's ok! You can pay with CC but tips are cash only so make sure you have enough on you!
The Sip & Bite is a modest little diner with an extremely friendly wait staff and good food. If you want a classic "This is Balmore Hon" style greasy spoon diner experience, this is the place to go.
Hard to find good French toast . They have some. Not great but good. I recommend them though. You might think they're great. Good food and location overall.
If your just coming for the crab cake , get The Eastern Shore breakfast sandwhich . Has bacon and egg on top. Very filling and soo good!
The spanakopita had an interesting flavor, and the crab cake was only okay. Cream of crab soup was pretty good, but I loved the Michael Phelps french toast .
The Eastern Shore hit the spot! Great for a late night bite
Great food, decent size servings, and friendly staff . Just how a dinner should be.
Breakfast ! Dina Dina Bo Beena Banana Fanta Fo Fina....DINA! BEST WATRESS EVER! Foods great also...Greek anything is great!!!!!
If you have big boobs or are on the curvy side make sure you sit at the counter cuz you won't fit at a booth
The perfect late night spot & one of the few 24 hour places to eat in Baltimore.
This diner has a lot of charm. Anything with crab cakes in it is a must.
crowded ....but that's the beauty of a real dive. always go here 2am on the weekend with friends....sort of a ritual. food is great
Known for its crab cakes , get the crab cake & shrimp entree that comes with 2 sides. The mashed potatoes are to DIE FOR! :)
What a great way to experience true Baltimore! Great breakfast and crab cakes .
Every Damn Thing is good except the kitchen sink!!!!!
Hercules omelet with tsasiki or Taki's platter. The Greek burger on pita is also the way to go!
The Greek salad and spanakopita are both awesome. Great omlettes and gyros as well .
I really liked the spanakopita bites . The Sip & Bite omelette was okay, but it probably would have been better with fewer meats.
The food is delicious! They must pay their servers a great hourly rate because this woman doesn't seem to be providing service worth tipping.
Crab cake sandwich is amazing! Also great biscuits and gravy .
Try the Maryland Chesapeake Eggs Benedict - Amazing! Crab cakes + two eggs Benedict = excellent!
Get the 2 eggs and crab cake for breakfast ! Realllllllllly good!!
The Greek Burger is AMAZING. its also 5$. You will not be disappointed.
Great late nite spot or for breakfast the next day.
Chesapeake Benedict with crab cakes are fabulous
Their famous crab cakes were okay, but the ones I've had at Pappas are better. SnB does a bit too much filler and not enough backfin, then they smash it onto a pancake .
Sweet potato pancakes are sweet, light and fluffy
Everything
Came here after the bars - the line was out the door and the wait staff wasn't as friendly but was the trip worth the disco fries ? I think so.
Check out Sip and Bite as seen on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives Read more
Good diner food . Buttermilk pancakes , omelettes , gyros are sooooo delicious!
Fantastic service. Crab cakes are ????
Mediterranean food at its best! There is nothing I would not recommend. I would definitely get the Spanakopita !
The triple D combo. Crab cakes and spanakopita !
Good food and atmosphere. Small!
The ambiance is everything, especially late at night. Everything for truck drivers to those adorned in tuxedos and ball gowns. Very Baltimore.
The good is great I want to try everything
Everything we had was good.
Everything is home made .
Chesapeake eggs Benedict is amazing!
Try the Santorini Wrap . Outstanding.

Great crab cakes , friendly people.
The food was good, but poor service. Staff had drama and acted very unprofessionally in front of customers. This place attracts a weird crowd too. Probs won't be back. There a much better places
Excellent food and prices...my favorite hangout...
Get the ckicken finger they are freshly made in front of you. You will never want anything else.
Crab cake omelet is the best!!
Breakfast for dinner . Great for late night munchies .
