What's not to love about a Whole Foods walking distance from home? This one has great weekly events like wine tastings and an incredible cafeteria ! Stop in for lunch or dinner before shopping.
This location is ALWAYS crowded . If you plan on grocery shopping , I suggest going later on in the day. It's great for quick lunches (sushi , fresh salads/sandwiches, pizza , etc). I love Whole Foods!
Foggy doggy hot dog stand buns aren't vegan , but they'll make a veggie dog special on a soft corn tortilla !
Waiting in a long line before grabbing your sautéed mushroom and arugula sandwich prepared by a hypersensitive hipster with an unexplained fascination for triangles, worth it.
I notice they don't serve the pricier vegetarian options during the Meatless Monday special...Wish they would. Overall, the store offers a greater variety of organic than then the Tenley store.
The carving station in the rear of the store offers a selection of fresh meats , fish , and vegetables . All prepared right before you.
the bakery offers a great variety of cookies and different breads !
Large variety - smaller than the one in Arlington, but still good
You can get your bread loaf sliced at the bakery (awesome), but you should know that this is one Whole Foods that won't sell you a half loaf.
They told that meat products imported from New Zealand are halal. There are also kosher valley chicken products!
If you're trying to grocery shop , avoid Wednesday evenings: "Wine Down Wednesdays". Lines for the wine and food booths block the aisles, and visitors put their plates and glasses on displays. Crowded !
Pretty fast, plenty of options on the ground floor for lunch/dinner. Make sure you go to the kiosk first to order.
The made to order sandwiches are one of the best deals for lunch or dinner in the area.
Mondays are 'Meatless Mondays' in the prepared food section. Fill your plate for a flat rate of 8 dollars from 4-7pm on Monday.
This my FAVE WFs in the DMV. While the Silver Spring and Alexandria stores are larger, the Foggy Bottom has fewer children and strollers.
The checkout line here can be a little confusing... make sure to look at the monitor to know when you're up (and make sure others are doing the same)!
Smaller than the average Whole Foods, prepared items are on shelves rather than in a deli case. No meal deals are available here. Instead, the space is used for fresh items (sushi , sandwiches , pizza )
Order a tap beer at the coffee shop , sit outside and enjoy the last sprinkles of summer.
Nice shinny brand new store w/ lots of made-to-order hot food (noodles and burgers ) and a sophisticated espresso bar !
I get the green juice from the juice bar .. it's called: HSH (health starts here) and it costs $5.50 incl. tax for 12oz
Check out The Whole Deal, a section of the Whole Food’s website that features current deals, money-saving meal plans and recipes, and printable coupons . Read more
Joy of grocery shopping could be defined here! ????
Watch out for the bottoms of the new chairs. They are sharp and I cut myself while pulling my chair in!
The buffet area is awesome. Much nicer than the Clarendon Whole Foods. Great selection for a city market .
If you are looking for anything whole wheat or fat free, you won't find it thanks to all those GW kids.
Prepare for a 5 minute conversation about bags each time you check out. Do you need a bag? Recyclable bag? Double bag? How many bags? So tedious. Liberalism is quite exasperating.
They have a huge row of breakfast pastries , coffee is good too!
Tried the new beef bulgoki bowl today. Overall, taste was good, but beef was kind dry and for $9 not sure it's worth it...
Try an amaretto americano on the patio with some nice cheese . I have Colkins Creamery Smoke Signal. S'excellent!
True happiness can be found here, you just have to look!
Get fresh OJ from the orange juicer next to the coffee bar .
Check out the wine selection for decent Malbecs .
If you pay at the kiosk for coffee , you'll have to bug a cashier for a cup — but you can cut the line .
Prices and beer selection
If you're a sake fan, there are a few little bottles hidden upstairs at the top of the escalators.
The place for be for meeting friends for a quick bite
Get the oatmeal
The most technologically advanced grocery store to date. Ask about the carts with no wheels and hover technology. And don't take no from the customer service when they say they don't have them.
This Whole Foods now features Tevolution! Buy a bottle, give a quarter? Awesome.
Shocked by the relatively uninteresting and sparse produce selection.
Good hot bar , beers on tap
Come here for the convenience and the fresh produce , but NOT for the customer service.
Come to this location if one of your hobbies is standing in line ????
Great food. Sadly they don't serve soft drinks :(
Expect a really long line at the coffee shop early in the morning. It's worth the wait, though.
Great butcher , wine , vegatables
Great grocery shop ! Definitely worth visiting.
The mac & cheese on the hot bar . My God.
Great hot food bar
There are foods labeled halal in frozen products section. The brand is Saffron Road .
Ramen, ramen, ramen. - Christopher C.
Delicioso ???? however pricey - Doris Tejada
The meats here are an incredible value. Try the filet, broiled. Delicious. - Mingbot Roberts
all sandwiches downstairs are made to order, fresh, and really well done. - Arjun Seth
Extensive selection of just about everything, especially wine and spirits. - Terry Leach
The new venues are amazing!! Wow the place looks great! - Gloria Chabot
Great food all around... but also a killer Laffa or Pita wrap sandwich. A touch of hot sauce with the Dill sauce is wonderful! - James Sullivan
Loving this month's special salad: Apples, pears, organic cheddar!! Yum - Nicole Davy
