Built in 1889 to celebrate the centenary of Birmingham achieving city status. The pavings and lamps decorating the square were designed by British artist , Tess Jaray.
Renovated in 2019. Lots of new buildings. And public art . Boulton, Watt and Murdoch placed here at the end of April 2022. Tram stop opened in 2019.
