Awesome! Great beer , nice food - all that you need in the Altstadt. If you want to try out something German, that’s the place that you need!

Stick around the bar and watch the "Zappes" draw beer from wooden barrels . These guys are fast and spectacular to watch. There’s an elevator built into the bar to bring up barrels from the cellar. :-)

The question of which brewery in the Altstadt is the best is very subjective, but Schlüssel has become over the years my go-to place. The food is traditional and quite good as well .

Düsseldorf has many breweries , but this is one of the best. Avoid in the weekends, as it can get VERY crowded and the service won't be as fast.

A classic place in Düsseldorf, beer comes in wooden barrels and food is ok. Great after a day with wine .....

If you plan to visit different breweries in Dusseldorf, start here since it's the lightest of them all.

Once you ordered a beer , more beer will keep coming to your table. To order something else, and/or to get the bill, simply put your coaster on top of your glass. :-)

The beer is good, but waiters do not like to give change for a 2,20€ beer when you give them 3.00€. They did it two times in different days so it is a pattern!

Unfriendly, plain rude staff . You don’t need to audibly sigh and roll your eyes just because we don’t order a beer right away. Sometimes you want something else first to quench your thirst.

Das beste Altbier der Stadt und dazu ein unglaubliches Essen . Düsseldorfer Tradition! Muss man erlebt haben.

Buena cervecería alemana. Su cerveza es la original de Dusseldorf, es tostada y estaba muy buena. Los platos vienen cargados y todo lo que hemos probamos estaba delicioso???? Muy recomendable.

Himmel und Erd - Gebratene Blutwurst mit Apfel-Kartoffelstampf und goldbraunen Zwiebeln, einfach köstlich! Und das leckere Schlüssel-Alt dazu, einfach köstlich!

La cerveza de la casa es estupenda, y la comida tradicional tambien. El lugar es típico, muy agradable.

Vorne ein volles Glas Alt mit nach hinten durch nehmen und die altehrwürdige Brauanlage bestaunen. Ein Muss.
