Aside from their world-renowned breads , try to head over there around 5pm to get still-warm-from-the-oven apple tarts and a slice of flan which are both the absolute best in the world!

Kate Gold

Bread , gray salt, chocolate croissants , butter cookies and their daily pastry/tart. Gorgeous bread knives (Specify whether you want a right- or left-handed one). Not open on Sundays. Get there early.

I cannot say enough good things about Poilâne. Not a ton of pastries in the Cherche-Midi shop but what they serve, they do v well . Tartes aux pommes had me salivating after every bite. GO!

Jonathan Goldberg

Great place for breakfast (they have a coffee place next door). Their croissant is perfect

David Ban

Famous for their massive sourdough loaves, which are luckily available by the slice ("tranche"). Pain Chocolat is also extremely good.

New York Habitat

As you step into this bakery , you would notice that the sourdough bread is commonly used here. This bakery also offers some excellent pastries .

Siyi

Amazing sourdough that you can purchase by weight in slices. Still delicious after freezing. Didn't have a good experience with the pain au chocolat , found it way too dense

Joanna Flamm

Best croissants . No competition. No seating here for retail (though there is a sit down restaurant ) so get your pain au chocolat and take it to a nearby park .

Katrina Streich

Amazing pain au chocolat , delicious tartelettes aux pommes, and the flakiest croissants

Hannah Chung

The most amazing apple tartlet, even if it looks unassuming. Get it.

New York Habitat

When in Paris.. you are simply obligated to try the famous croissants and pain au chocolat at least once. And trust us; this is the place to do it!

A must visit for bread lovers. Try anything - it'll still be better than anything you'll have Stateside.

Crossiants and punitions are a must-buy. So is their special miche. Look out for their bread chandelier at the back.

Pain au chocolate ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ The best I ever had.

Head over to Poilane for one of the city ’s (and the world’s) most famous pain au chocolat . While you’re there, grab some bread , a raisin bun , and basically whatever else you can get your hands on.

The croissants here are a delicacy. I'm also not a big fan of apple deserts but the tart is amazing.
