Takayama Jinya served as the local administrative offices of the Tokugawa Shogunate that ruled Japan from 1600 to 1868. The compound itself dates back to 1615 & the present buildings date back to 1816

現存する唯一の陣屋です
高山藩下屋敷だった場所に建てられた陣屋。第 6 代藩主・金森頼旹が高山から出羽上山藩に移封され当地が天領となった 1692 年以降、ここで政務が執られた。建物の屋根 が板葺なのは、瓦が凍害にやられやすいため、そして飛騨では木材が豊富に手に入るためらしい。そして 1969 年まで県事務所として使われていたという事実にビビる。展示 は派手に見応えあり。
門を入って左側に無料の休憩室が在る。冬は暖房してあって暖まれる。寒い時は-10℃位まで冷え込むので超有難い。
花 餅 を初めて見ました。鏡餅とのツーショットが、お正月🎍っぽくて良かった。
板張りの屋根 が美しい。雪国特有の凍（しみ）対策のための長めの板を5年おきにひっくり返しながら20年使っている米蔵を見てください。

天領として飛騨國を管轄していた陣屋を再現。資料の展示 も多いのでじっくり時間をかけて拝見しました。
