The duck ponds are a must visit with kids ... there's coots, moorhens, geese as well as ducks plus a rather evil heron ... in spring really easy to sit the nests & ducklings, goslings etc up close
Make sure to check out the walled garden .
Blue skies, grassy fields , lie down, enjoy! Next to Rose garden there is a plant nursery run by volunteers. Buy some plants/herbs etc for your house/garden!
You must check out the Lambeth Country Show . It's amazing! Also great for walks, views of London and picnics !
Gorgeous park to relax in, great for running too. There's tennis courts , a bowling green , a walled garden , community greenhouses, and a great play area and paddling pool/sand pits for the kids.

Leafy and green Cressingham Gardens estate located next to the Brockwell Park in upper Tulse Hill , designed by Edward "Ted" Hollamby, a champion of modern low-rise estates built in the 1970's.
An excellent park ! Has great views of London 's greatly dominating skyline e.g. the Shard and the Gherkin + the Heron Tower.
The wild flower bank by the lido is beautiful in late May and June ... awash with poppies , cornflowers and much more ...
A nice space on a hill with beautiful views to the City . There is a cafe , and a a all-year-round lido nearby. I also spotted some 'arty types' gathering in the cafe .

They've just refurbished the kids splash pool and it now has fountains , sandpit & viewing deck overlooking the pond .
Running anti clockwise is a real workout, big uphills. Clockwise gentle uphills with a good downhill at the opposite side of main entrance.

You better book in advance to get a table at this relaxed, pool-side cafe, as it's popular with the Herne Hill locals. I haven't tried dinner or cocktails, but breakfast is great - fresh and tasty. - D D
