Located in the Texas Natural Science Center, the Texas Memorial Museum has exhibits on wildlife , dinosaurs , fossils , gems and minerals. Visitors can see the paleontology lab and visit with scientists.
Make sure to see if someone is working in the paleo-lab! Normally not staffed on weekends, but it normally is during the weekdays until at least 2:00.
The museum store has lots to offer if you are into rocks & dinosaurs .

Food and drink are not allowed inside the museum , but the Texas Memorial Stadium 's food court isn't too far away.

Drove all the way to Austin for this. Nice collection of artifacts. Very friendly docents. Nice restaurant with plenty of healthy food choices on 2nd floor. Imax theatre is re-opened. - Doug Murphy
