Great setting in Central Park . Good menu and most people liked their food. My vegetarian meal of cauliflower florets on cauliflower purée was delicious, despite concern when ordering. Service is slow.
The Bitches say: B. Be prepared to pay a pretty penny for brunch , but the ambiance and sweet treats are worth it. Worth going to once - be sure to sit outside & bask in the glory of Central Park . Read more

Beautiful ambiance, indoor & outdoor seating , lively vibes. Absolutely in love! Tavern burger was on point! Definitely coming back to try their breakfast since it’s what they’re mostly known for????????✨
Nice hangout place.. food is awesome; service is great. Lunch , brunch , dinner .. doesn’t matter. Try their truffle fries . It’s inside Central Park with live music , ambience can’t better.
A must go to for brunch ! The restaurant is gorgeous and the food is better. Perfect place for a trendy brunch with my girls. The bacon appetizer was the best bacon I’ve ever had. Couldn’t go wrong.
Came here 4 brunch & requested table in the sun room (formerly the famous room that was renovated). Got the pastry basket which was worth the wait till my eggs Benedict w/ salmon arrived. Delicious.
Beautiful patio during the summer. Come in via the backside/Park side to grab a first come first serve seat at the bar for a quick cocktail .
Beautiful space for a function, delicious buffet and canapé selection & excellent service. Roasted seabass , truffle fries , beans and roast beef
Brunch was amazing. Wedge salad was very good, Maine lobster roll delicious, grilled steak with eggs and potatoes was splendid, tasty lemonade , salmon tartare was OK. Overall it was a good experience.
One of the best places in NY. The service is amazing and the food...absolutely fantastic. The best place for a nice brunch on a sunny day!
Great food and good drinks. Pricey but very good location and love the terrace . The waiter was nice but decided to take all money instead of changing. We asked it back to give a tip ourselves.
Love the outdoor cocktail garden overlooking Central Park especially with the live jazz on a sunny afternoon. Gorgeous restaurant space and nice indoor bar also.
Risotto , Caesar salad , salmon , Coq a vin, filet all wonderful. Apple crisp and carrot cake desserts were good, but not fabulous. Probably would skip dessert . Hostesses and wait staff were so nice.
The scrambled eggs are seasoned perfectly, so don't be put off by its humble presentation! French toast is worth its price and scrumptious.
In the summer, enjoy live music on the huge patio . You can have a full meal out there, or just a drink at the bar if you don't want to spend the $$$.
The outdoor patio and bar is a great place to drink wine and watch the world go by. If you are lucky they'll have a great jazz two as well .
A great landmark in a great location. Let’s hope they find a new chef to make an accessible menu that works for New Yorkers and tourists alike. Read more
Nice brunch , and not that expensive by NYC standards. Tasty Bloody Mary but it seemed a little light on alcohol . Fun place to go given the location and history.
Great option for larger groups—there's a ton of space and the place is very bright . It's pricey , but you'll have trouble finding something bad on the menu.
One of my favorite spots to snag a cocktail in Central Park especially in the summer. Sit out on the patio and watch everyone buzzing around the park .
Jeremiah Tower help revive Tavern on the Green and just launched a new dinner menu with items like monkfish "osso buco ," grilled double pork chop and carbonara pasta gratin . Zagat
Sparkling Berry Sangria and blueberry crisp were or favorites of this classic NYC restaurant in Central Park .
Amazing place with the most precious patio . Perfect for the quintessential Central Park meal!
Bacon Appetizer & Eggs Florentine are show stoppers....apple pie is a modern deliverance on America’s favorite desert
The outdoor bar is perfection on a summers night. When it closes, see the friendly barman inside
Make sure you arrive at least 40min prior to your reservation and enjoy the bar , live music ... Great feelings come from tavern...
The atmosphere here reminds you of some of the epic movies . And the food is very good.
A hip spot for a breakfast in Central Park , super cozy and tasty. Take a flatbread if you want something nutritious
John Lennon and his son Sean would sometimes celebrate their birthdays here. They shared the same birthday, October 9th. Max Leroy (son of the owner Warner LeRoy) was good friends with Sean Lennon.
The history, view , and ambiance are excellent.
Pricey but worth it. If you are seating in the restaurant , try the Fig Salad . If you go to the bar , order the pretzel !
At the beer garden outside you can ask for their regular bar menu which gets you more selection of food and cocktails . But it's a beer garden !
Beautiful setting to enjoy brunch in the Park . Try the outdoor space .
Great beer garden , perfect place for a summer night. We got there around 8pm and it wasn't very crowded . Recommended for groups. The place is kinda overpriced tho.

Newly renovated, historical Tavern on the Green will feature three dining rooms and restaurant goers can enjoy a scenic view of the Central Park .
Amongst other things they are well know for their absolutely over the top interior. During holiday season, they outdo themselves
Incredibly beautiful restaurant ...so pretty on a nice summer day. Good for a groups, with family or a date + yummy food.
Great place to grab a drink after walking around Central Park . Beautiful uplighting. Sit outside in the back bar .
While we didn't leave stuffed, the food was delicious. Not a kid-friendly menu. The decor is amazing. Will be back for dinner .
Beautiful! Great food and attention besides the awesome view . It's worth it any time of the year
Recently renovated. Their glass room is beautiful and seating outside is ample. Limited lunch menu but still delicious
Good refurbishment recently. Good drinks and a great atmosphere
Beautiful space post-renovation. And the people-watching is AMAZING. Can't speak to the food, tho - only had drinks there.
Cracking spot for breakfast or lunch with awesome views back across the park
Newly redone, the outdoor bar is great for people watching and a good glass of rosé .
Today was my first opportunity to enjoy the atmosphere. I remember my parents walking past here when I was I high school telling me how wonderful this place is....
Bartender was very nice, mixed great drinks and check on us often. Try the strawberry basil lemonade cocktail or the sangria .
French toast was best we have ever had. Blueberry compote was excellent, not too sweet.
Classic restaurant with dark woods and taxidermy lodge vibes. They have a great cocktail program with modern American fare. They offer private dining options and have a 2nd floor bar, Banzarbar. - Kidhack
