This is one of my favorite places anywhere. Opt for warm sake (it's on tap ) and don't miss the gyoza . Cheap food, causal karaoke . Need I say more?

All day happy hour on Monday and Tuesday. Spam sliders are so good! Sundays are family day - kids eat free!

Awesome bartenders , great HH menu. I love this place, it's one of my fave "chill " spots. If you like sushi I suggest the Sakura roll and the Crunchy roll , I could pretty much eat myself silly on them.

Calamari was a little overcooked, but the chicken teriyaki was delicious. Also had a Mai Tai which was a little strong and pretty large, so you only need one unless you're looking to get lit. Was good

Get their half baked roll ! It's California rolls topped w/ salmon & spicy mayo . Don't like Cali rolls much, but I always make an exception for this

Really delicious sushi and salads kinda turns into a dance bar at night but still a good vibe and bartenders and A+

BEST KAHLUA PORK EVER! Especially with their side of macaroni salad so delish! And you can't beat their Pele's Ice Cream . Preferably the coconut . BBQ Pork , Lumpia Shanghai, calamari and spam musubi !

Grub on a pupu platter for some islander comfort snacks . Or try a firecracker roll ... they serve it with peanut dipping sauce . Sounds like a sushi dont but its quite delicious!

When you check-in on Foursquare or Facebook on Sunday during karaoke , you get $1 off any well drink when you show your server or bartender !

This seems to be the only Japanese place around that serves tonkatsu (pork cutlet ).Tonkatsu was crispy and sauce was good, but felt coleslaw not authentic . Also should have offered Mizo soup with meal

Saturday night and craving sushi . I leave the Lava and walk here. Loud , obnoxious and clearly over occupied. Accessing the restroom was impossible, had to walk a few blocks away for the bathroom .

Seaweed salad , ftw!! One of my favorite things on the menu. Tasty and so refreshing!

Food is good, went here about 4 times and loved it. Had a horrible experience one time with a terrible waiter and it's been hard to go back ever since. I'll need to give it another try.

Try Pele's Ice Cream for dessert . (Coconut or Green Tea ... preferably coconut ). It's the best... ANYWHERE!

Sunday karaoke after 10pm is typically a lot of fun. The crowd is friendly and the place offers happy hour at this time too.
