If you want a traditional cannoli , Maria's trumps Mike 's and possibly Modern. The ricotta filling is thicker and not as fluffy as Modern's (which isn't a bad thing). Try the candied fruit topping !
My favorite cannoli is sold here. It is a bit off the main little Italy street (but still close enough) and you would be positively surprised and thankful if you make it here
Was told that they had some great cannoli & was not disappointed. But found a new pasties Picked up a Sfogliatelle and their "Lobster Tail " which were both delicious & I highly recommend them.
these Cannoli 's are filled fresh, to-order! the coffee is hot, they do amazing takeaway , & there's usually a funny lady or a cute girl behind the counter. what else you need?
Try the lobster tail : flaky shell filled with vanilla mousse . Chocolate lovers, try a chocolate torrone. Or try a sfogliatelle—a Neapolitan pastry shell filled with citrus fruit , semolina, and cheese . Read more
Andrew Zimmern visited Boston's North End, an Italian neighborhood . He stopped by Maria's and tasted the cannoli and sfogiatelle. As seen on Bizarre Foods America .
Best pastry shop in North end! Pay Maria a visit and buy what you can't get at mikes -authentic Italian sweets.
I'm a little scared to say anything positive because the tourists may start coming here instead of the usual spots. But seriously, this is the place to go for the good stuff.
Everything. Real Italian bakery , so delish. Cannoli are fresh filled when you order.
Maria's Pastry Shop is a no frills, simple Italian Bakery that’s well worth the trip.
North End best kept secret. Delicious cannoli without wait.
Cannolis are the highlight here and taste better than Mike 's. Lines are also nowhere near as long.
I've tried almost everything they make there, and I've love all of it. Try the cannoli , of course, but also the sfogliatelle .
The best cannoli I've ever had!
Awesome Cappuccino . Also They have Chocolate lambs ? I don't know about this or what they are for, but they definately have them.
Best lobster tail in Boston. Nice and flaky and crispy
Almond paste cookies .. Tiramisu ! Yet to try more!!

While the idiots line up like cattle at Mike 's, go here instead. Way better and more authentic .

cannoli lobster roll and cookies
Tourists flock to more famous shops in the North End, but we send HT users here for cannoli that they'll be thinking back on fondly weeks later.
Cannolli are delicious!
Best pastries in the North End!! This place is legit, "italiano vero"
Good cannoli .. far better than mikes

Omg the bread is amazing! This little place is situated in an alley and easy to miss if you're not looking. Thankfully we caught some patrons who absolutely recommended it. You must stop!! - Rachel Powers
Ricotta pie and tiramisu are excellent, I haven't found a better bakery in town yet! - Dan Lauzon Jr.
Cannolis, cheesecake, brownies, whatever you get, it's gonna be fantastic! Just make sure you have cash! - Amanda Whitten
Best small local shop in Boston! It hasn't changed in at least 25 years (prob a lot longer)...great selection of grains, candies, coffee (of course) and best lemon slush I've ever had (summer only). I - Gina Luciano
2nd locale after Emerson. Front window seating; great newspapers under glass top tables. Scrumptious full baked goods and dessert menu. Superb coffee and espresso drinks. - Ulyee Foobar
