Chips are amazing. Entomatadas have well executed over easy eggs , fried beans. Cheeses are overpowered by the spiciness of the sauce but still enjoyable. Coffee comes with free refills!
Jean Paul (Weekday manager) is an OG. Great customer service pairing alongside a fantastic offering of food+cuisine. Something lowkey most folks don't recognize: Nido's mezcal offering is topnotch!
top-notch, creative upscale mexican. strong delicious margaritas , but rest of the seasonal cocktail list also keeps up. weekend brunch includes different varieties of chilaquiles and highwire coffee .
Las Tres Amigas (Bloody Mary , Mimosa , and Margarita ) will take care of your brunch cocktail needs.
You won't find typical tacos and enchiladas on the menu, but the food is soulful and comforting -- every element is considered. The interior is plain, but stylish . Read more
Sotol is interesting, highly recommend the flight if you want something new. I had never even heard of it. Tastes gin and mezcal had a baby and named it sotol
All the vegetarian options are good. The ambience at night is particularly beautiful. Great place for a date or for a small group.
Fantastic cocktails , delicious menu - a neighborhood favorite and worth the wait as it definitely gets busy most evenings. Great service!
Real true mexican food , not americanized (you won’t find burritos or chili ). Anything you try here is delicious. Love this place!
Go on the mezcal journey… all the food is great but get the Asadas Tacos & the Aguachile.
Everything is great. Try the chilaquiles . If you're into horchata have the black and white, horchata and iced coffee .
Lovely date night dinner . A little noisy and busy but fabulous food. Sliced beef dish is amazing.
Always like sitting at the bar facing the window. Eat everything. It’s all good and good drinks. Mmm Nido 13/10
Quiet and tasty Saturday brunch . Convenient freeway access. Great service. Good coffee . Delicious pancakes and chilequiles.
carnitas plate is bomb. also the corn esquite (comes with scallops !) is a must – and can be shared with the table. top off with la fresita
Everything. Order everything. This place is such a gem!
cocktails and margaritas were pretty excellent, too much ice in the margaritas though kinda a rip off, the guacamole was superb, as was the sweet corn , the quesadilla with red mole was only ok.
The fish tacos are super great. It took a while for us to get our drinks, however the taste of the agua fresca was amazing
Its good, but a meal for 2 will be around $50 dollars.. so a bit expensive for simple traditional food
Have you ever tried a pear margarita ? Stop by Nido after work and try this delicious recipe while you munch on ceviche . Read more
Try the totopos adobados : adobo-smothered tortilla chips topped with crema fresca, quest cotilja, onion , lime & cilantro .
Love this place. Food, drinks and decor are impressive. Gets a little loud so get there early!
Ingenious Mexican fair ; definitely good value and healthy spin
Excellent service (everyone is so nice!) and food is really delicious
Delicious barbacoa tacos and quesadilla yummy! Service is always pleasant.
Unique Mexican food . Great beer . Brilliant atmosphere and very friendly staff .
Fantastic margaritas , taquitos , and birria.
Excellent food and drink. Do yourself a favor and try the Here Comes the Hotstepper.
Pretty hipster ambiance with fancy (and good and possibly experimental) Mexican food !
Loved the flavor of all their food, but one huge suggestion--- get a couple heat lamps outside! Please
Authentic Mexican fair . Enjoyed tostadas with a Victoria beer . Worth a visit.
Their bloody mary is the best, esp with mezcal
Negro y blanco = win win win! Half Haywire Cold Brew and half house made horchata !
Maybe the best sit down Mexican Restaurant in Oakland?
Brianna is the best server. Ask for her she's amazing!
The chicken adobado was really good.
Great food. Fresh and local. Amazing service.
Carnitas are 🔥. Also the drinks
Best new restaurant in the Bay Area. Simply outstanding!
Everything involving Mezcal is perfection.
Pork chop is delicious! And Pacifico on draft...yes please!
Great, beer , food and service!
Pretty pricey , and some of the drinks are a tad odd, but the food is good!
The Shrimp empanada is amazing!
This place knows a good margarita ! 😋
I recommend the tacos washed down with horchata !
Great drinks and specialty food

The pork chop is the best I have had!
love the seasonal cocktail menu-there’s always something new and tasty!! - cami j.
Love the salad and chicken tortilla soup borrowed from sister restaurant Tacubaya. The real strength of this menu are the killer tacos. All are good, but I loved the crispy beef and the Vampiro. - Brian Strauss
