Stag's Leap Wine Cellars

Famed for their SLV cabernet sauvignon that beat Bordeaux at the 1976 Paris tasting , they still make some of the very best cabs in Napa. Tastings from $15. Not to be confused with Stags' Leap Winery !

We did the fire and water tour and tasting. It was completely worth the price to have Ned teach us the fantastic history of the wine and the vineyards ! Wines were fantastic w the food pairing!! Do it!

Newly renovated tasting room is pretty awesome. Two 4-wine flights, $25 and $40. Tasting fee is waived for two bottle purchase. Fay is the best cab. Sauv blanc is really good too.

Great taste room . Bright view and modern decoration . 45 dollars for tasting 4 kinds of wines that are only available there. If you buy wines the taste fee can be waived.

Lovely place to sample the Cask 23 wine that beat out all of the French wines in its category. It's not cheap ($230/bottle) so just do the $45 tasting. Great staff .

Fantastic visit! We had "The Cellarius Kitchen Experience" - great wines , delicious food - chef Travis was on fire! Loved it!

Nice view and relaxing atmosphere ! I personally prefer their Fay over SLV. But Cask23 is even better!

A must visit in Napa. Of the wines we tasted and the vineyards we visited Stag’s Leap was the best by far!

Lovely place to taste wines , buck up the $45 and do the tour , though. At tasting, tell them you're traveling, and they'll give you a free Wine Skin ($6 in Manhattan) with a purchase.

This is the winery that won the 1976 Paris tasting and put Napa on the map. This is Stag's Leap district's best, I highly recommend their Cask23 ! (the Stags' Leap Winery is no comparison)

Amazing wines and the wine club is a great deal...do it!!

Move on to another winery . Mediocre wines . Low flavor high alcohol and lots of heat on the finish for most wines here. Also really slow and pretentious service.

Extraordinary Cabernet Sauvignons. If you start here, prepare to be disappointed everywhere else.

Spring for the estate flight twice a week. :-P

Overpriced tasting and not much interaction - skip it and try somewhere else.

Do not confuse this with the Stags Leap Winery ...wines here are not as good. Staff doesn't seem that knowledgeable .
