Definitely one of the best Indian places. Make your reservations or be prepared to wait - it's super popular. Make sure you order the cheese nan , masala prawns , chai tea !!
The chilli cheese toast and the chicken ruby are both fantastic! Very tasty food! Highly recommended
Oh my... where to start. Excellent service , infant friendly spaces and the most amazing basmati I’ve ever tasted. Combine it with Sali Boti and you are done with your bucket list for today. AAA+++
Excellent food and drink. You can make a reservation up until 5.45pm. After that, you may have to wait an hour or two.
Worth the hype. Went for dinner twice in two days. Samosas , chili cheese toast , jackfruit biryani , bhel , dahl makhani, roti , naan , vegetables - all excellent. Cocktail bar has superb, unique menu. Go.
It does live up to the hype. The bar menu is excellent (which is just as well , given the wait!) I could’ve eaten two serves of the lamb samosas . The house black dahl (dahl Makhani) is flawless.
Everything! But if you must choose, come for breakfast before 12.
The Lamb Biriyani is absolutely amazing... the Mint/Lamb/Spice combo is next level! Gunpowder potato was tasty too. It’s all good though you won’t go wrong!
This place is completely worth the hype and the wait. Had the chicken ruby , naan , basmati rice , and greens. All perfect.
Lovely atmosphere. Great to have a seat at the soft launch. Okra fry, Paneer tikka , Chicken biriyani , Mahi tikka , Chicken ruby are a must try..
We had the best dinner . The food, atmosphere, the decoration, the friendly service everything was fantastic. A bit pricey but totaly worth it.
Amazing service and delicious food! Cocktails were a bit under expectations, everything else is amazing. Love their interiors and playful music selection
We had the best date dinner there, great service and the food can't possibly taste better, good cocktails as well , it's a restaurant I'd give 10/10.
Great Indian food , excellent customer service. Good choices for vegetarians and very allergy aware staff . House black daal is a must try. Great selection of interesting cocktails .
The shakarkandi chaat . Sweet potatoes , perfect dish. It’s seasonal. If they have it, get it.
Really crowded on Sundays, make sure to book first! Had a wonderful naan breakfast with a delicious shaved ice for dessert . Worth the visit!
Super breakfast , unlimited chai , great atmosphere.
Probably the best Indian restaurant in Edinburgh , elegant , good service , better to come with reservation , and don't forget to order Edinburgh chief special ????????
Tasty food and good beer . It might be crowded and a line for dinner , but you have access to the bar until you get a table. It’s worth to wait.
From what we ordered, I liked the passionfruit sharbat and jackfruit biryani . Abdul the guy who served us was so friendly and helpful ????
This place is a flavor explosion (in the best way). Get the okra fries and bhel . Prawns were wonderful too
Portions are small and meant to be shared by ordering lots of dishes. Spice levels are low if you’re used to Actual Indian food but flavours and variety of the dishes are unreal - worth checking out!
I love this place. Must try: black dahl , chicken tikka , grilled prawns , chef’s lamb dish . Combined with a tasty cocktail
Spectacular food, nuff said! No matter what you have, try the black daal . Save some room for dessert !
Everything here is incredible, including their music . Make sure you look up their playlists on Spotify
A UK-must and one that never disappoints. I had the Edinburgh chef 's special and it was excellent. Get in here if you can.
Great food, excellent helpfull staff .. If you will eat Indian food for the first time, try it here.. you will be a fan❤️
The place is awesome! It probably has better Indian good than India itself! Service was great, and the beer (own IPA ) was super!
This is at the moment the best Indian restaurant in the city . Truly Bombay experience. A must in Edinburgh
Food and service are excellent. On top of that they took extra care of our highly sensetive daughter and provided a table off-noice.
The waiting experience was better than London. They have a bar downstairs and it’s quite nice.
Chocolate pudding and spiced ice cream is a big surprise. Wonderful food all round from the dips to the mains.
Liked the Edinburgh Dishoom better than the London one. Their Jackfruit biryani was interesting...
Amazing flavors. Okra fries , bhel , prawns , mango lassi . Do it.
The Salli Notice is to die for!! And one could be satisfied by just ordering that.
All the food was great. It’s worth the wait, so please do! Staff is friendly as well .
You’ll wait outside then wait downstairs!! Then your table be ready!!!! But food is delicious and stuff great
Amazing service , great food and atmosphere ! Love the concept !
Everything we tried was excellent. So good in fact we went back the next day.
Calamari & ruby chicken curry is delicious ???? a must try! Briyani portion is good for 2 pax.
Was good. Not usually keen on Indian food but enjoyed this meal and would go back.
Great Service, super friendly & relaxed. Bacon Naan for breakfast is excellent.
Definitely have a Viceroy's Old Fashioned. Best drink of our entire trip to the UK this year.
The food is delicious and the but watch out. They tried to cheat me and added drinks in the bill i did not order it and when I noticed they answered that they had another table that did not pay.
Lamb , lamb , lamb !!
You can’t go wrong. Pick anything and you’ll be happy. Come hungry!
Vegetarian food and a good chocolate dessert .
Everything was delicious! The bar downstairs had the best cocktails .
Kolwadi Prawns , Chilli cheese toast and the butter butta are all fantastic ????

Umm the Pakoras! Paneer were my personal favourite but all were good. Soundtrack was great too. - George Etherington
THE best Indian restaurant in Edinburgh. It is certainly worth the trip if you are anywhere in Scotland. So many wonderful flavors in each dish! They don't accept credit cards therefore do bring cash. - Shanan
