Tiny place with delicious sushi . One of my favorites on both sides of the bay . Try their specials posted on the wall -- they're worth it. Fresh fish and they don't skimp on the plates.
They serve fast, cheap , fresh, high-quality sushi in sashimi , nigiri , and roll form. I particularly enjoyed the Sake Nigiri , Hotate Nigiri , and Spicy Scallop Roll . Read more on WinstonWanders below!! Read more
This has to be the most adorable sushi joint in Oakland. Awesome quality fish , great prices, and whatever you get with avocado will be perfect.
The sushi is amazing and also amazingly priced. If you come hungry, you will definitely leave happy! It's kind of a small place, but worth the wait.
Nigiri is at the heart of Geta Sushi. It sounds trite, but ask what chef Kosuke says is special currently. Also, you never go wrong starting with a spicy tuna , or salmon , handroll .
Come Sunday (only) for the ramen and dipping noodle ! So yummy. The ramen base broth is so rich in flavor and the noodles firm and chewy. Best ramen in the bay !
For price vs quality, this tiny restaurant IS the best in California! They usually have specials fish which changes by day. Get there early because it's 1st come 1st served & tiny!
Call in and place your order for pick-up if you're in a rush! Best sushi you can get for a decent price. Tempura udon , spicy chicken , and katsu curry are good as well .
Had my first foursquare check-in here in 2009! Chicken Udon is still amazing! Only 50 cents more... 4 years later. I always order tons of sushi and then add the chicken udon to my order.
Great sushi and a chill vibe. This place is kinda small, but its low-key nature belays the amazing food quality.
Delicious sushi . Small location but not too long of a wait. Very fresh, distinct-tasting sushi .
Well-priced sushi and donburi dishes, including a generous chicken teriyaki donburi . Read more
A sashimi combo ($13.50) with a dozen impeccable slices of seafood is definitely a bargain. Read more
Getting to-go from here isn't always faster, but definitely worth it! I've gotten free seaweed salad before for having to wait extra long.
delicious nigiri , the hamachi and sake never fails, try at least one of the daily specials to avoid fomo
Spicy Chicken Terriaki is a great takeout option for this cozy sushi joint with limited seating .
Great place for takeout . One minor problem, everything (almost every time) I call I get the busy dial tone. Walk in and place an order; get a beer/coffee at Cafe Trieste while you wait
O good. So simple and fast and amazing and wonderful. Worth the wait.
Definitely recommend the Cheese Tonkatsu . It's melted mozzarella cheese inside crispy bearded pork . Very unique!
Given that it's such a small place, take out is probably best if your party is bigger larger than two
Sure. It's worth the wait. Grab and go find a nice spot outdoors to eat.
The nigiris are very good. The fish slices and portions are very generous.
Great specials board. Efficient and occasionally curt staff . Very good.
If you place your to-go order in person rather than over the phone, they give you Pocky sticks to snack on while you wait outside for your food.
The monk fish liver melts in your mouth; better than a fine pate . The salmon belly is so juicy, and tender. But, the conch was my favorite; super fresh; reminding of a sunny beach on the Carribean.
if you spend enough money you might get a parting hi-chew gift
Great food but, watch out, they squirt mayonnaise on the spicy teriyaki . Why??
If you like Nigiri try "Kampachi & Unagi "
Very clean , very fresh, good music !
Cheap but fresh sashimi . Cheese tonkatsu is perfection.
Amazing! Delicious, fresh and affordable .
It's best to call in your take-out. But I'm spending my 20 minute wait at Cesar. Win, win!
Toro nigiri 2 for $9. Be sure to try their cheese tonkatsu if it isn't sold out for the day!
Fresh and tasty sushi for cheap . My favorite to-go spot for Sushi
Many vegetarian options . I like the Tofu steak .
Come early...it's a tiny place but BIG on value. Best sushi quality for the $
Nigiri and spicy chicken makes it a filling meal.
Excellent affordable sushi . Definitely bang for your buck.
Delicious sushi that will not break your bank !
Plain Udon was $5 in 2011, it's $13 in 2023. Chicken Udon is $18.41 w/ tax. Nothing special; in fact there was some gristle in the chicken . Stick to ordering sushi here.
Simple, extremely fresh. Comes with home-made tamagoyaki and avocado . $13
If you're here with three or more people and order decently sized meals, they'll usually top it off with an extra sushi roll . :)
Went for curry . It's a cute restaurant , but they were out of curry ! Very disappointed, but open to trying again.
Hungry? Wait for a table. Ordering for take away is slower than ordering in.
Sushi is good, fresh and cheap
Everything!!!
It's the size of a suburban. Make sure you put your name on the list. It's worth the wait!!!!
I know most people get the sushi , but the beef donburi is AMAZING!
Cheese tonkatsu ! 🙌🙌🙌
Lunch sashimi special. 👌
