So good we went to the 1 in Kona after we hit up the 1 in Honolulu! We felt like keeping it casual so sat at the bar . We were very happy we did, because Darryl really brought the Aloha spirit. Thanks!

Really fresh sushi , and a great sake selection . The house sake is pretty good. By far the best service and dining experience we had in Waikoloa Beach .

Love the Sansei in Maui was very excited about eating at the this one ...ordered my favorite dish that I've had many times in Maui and it came out cold! Disappointed!

Try the unusual you won't be disappointed. Mushroom Cheeseburger Roll - mushrooms , croutons , cream cheese & spicy tuna . Weird sounding DEEELISH !!

The panko ahi roll got a big push and was only ok, but sashimi , butter fish and shrimp dynamite are incredible.

Trust your server's recommendations and eat as much as you can. The best dinner on my trip.

On Monday nights there's a Hawaiian music/dance show in the pavilion outside. Check it out before/after dinner !

Really good sushi , maybe the best I've had anywhere. 2 adults and 3 kids - less than $100. Good choice.

If you want the sushi bar on a sunday or monday go to the left of the front door. They'll come out with a ticket for you. The sushi bar is a full menu too.

Come early for the 5-6 half price happy hour . I got here at 4:30 with more than 30 people already in line . Or get a ticket for the short line to sit at the bar .

Sansei 's mango crab salad hand roll needs a place in the sushi hall of fame. Awesome!

The Crown Maple & Egg Nog Martini is to die for!!!

My "entree" was literally 9 thin pieces of sashimi , with nothing else. I then ordered the ramen ; it wasn't great. Service was also terrible- waiter was clueless and forgot our drinks. Overpriced IMO

The nigiri needed larger pieces and lacked the freshness I was hoping for in a sushi restaurant off the coast of an island .

The kapalua butterfry, spicy tuna roll , and calamari didn't taste fresh. The teriyaki beef is good.

I really wasn't impressed with the food. I had seafood "chow fun " which was really just 4 scallops and 2 prawns over fettucini . Prices too high for what you get. Also, there is really no ambience.

Very punctual service. The fillets are incredible.

REALLY disappointed. Salmon sushi was warm and rubbery, hamachi was warm but OK. Caterpillar roll has no flavor and comes with no unagi sauce on the top, order extra. Uni was discolored and low grade.

Some sushi was good some was just ok. Definitely have had better other places, prob won't be back.

The butterfish is amazing.
