Porridge : Fell in love w Tiong Bahru Wah Yuen #01-12 when they were orig @ Seng Poh Mkt. Hv a weakness 4 their crunchy & tasty fried pig 's intestines porridge
Nasi Lemak . $3 from Labrador Nasi Lemak #01-39. Chilli & peanut-ikan bilis individually packed. Chilli was good. Rice lacked any aroma. Nothing memorable
Wantan mee : Hong Ji Mian Shi Jia #01-05. 1 of d popular stalls, judging by its long q. Noodle was 'q', char siew slices were fat & juicy. Wantan was not impressive - tasted hard & many were split open
Heaps of good food here. The carrot cake is really good. The Long queue char Siew rice is good but not really worth the long wait . Lor mee is better than the outlet in Tiong Bahru.
Fishball noodles . Ang Moh Kia #01-08 is probably riding on being featured in a documentary . Tastes of MSG. Fishballs were unimpressive & not handmade
