This place is nice inside, dark wood finishes and felt very clean . Smoke from outside would float into the bar and take over tho. Got the $10 draft beer +shot, blue moon and jameson woo!

If you're looking for a local spot that's a divey lounge , this is the spot. The corner booth in the back is great to take over with a group. Drinks are reasonable and the music playlist is great.

I love owls! Apparently the dead former owner did too! They keep a shrine of his owls next to the stairs. This is a small crowded bar full of younger very social people and a nice dark atmosphere. Lo

I'm really only writing this tip to tell you I met the best bartender I've ever seen, and I've been around. It was just fun watching her work and engage with the customers. Go see Darian (Dee)!

Feels like a local, even though it's in downtown San Francisco , a couple of blocks from Union Square

Great 70s, 80s and 90s music ! Nice crowd! Recommended for a late drink during the week!

Drank sazeracs and watched The Joy Luck Club on TV . I appreciated the cheese , meat, and cracker tray in the back of the bar . A+, would definitely return.

Come here with Famous Mike and get an alcoholic beverage . Also, the cucumber gimlet tastes like alcoholic cucumber water , and is only okay if you're into that kind of thing, which you shouldn't be.

Great cocktails , just far enough off Union Square to make you feel like a local (or not a tourist ). Old SF-style.

The upstairs bar is the only reason I love this place :-) Very quaint hideaway tucked in a great part of SF, and great alcohol selection.
