A stunningly beautiful and substantially sized park , full of hiking trails , with all kinds of other activities, including bicycling, picnic areas , camping areas, nature preserves , a lake , much more.
Beautiful sprawling parkland bigger than many cities . The carousel , and the miniature steam trains are the highlights for me. Wish the park was more friendly to mountain bikers .

Upper Big Springs Trail is fantastic and the views when you get about .6 miles up the trail , before you get to the Seaview Trail , are beautiful. Lower Big springs is pretty legit too.
Don't forget to visit the Botanical Park and the Steam Train Railroad Where you can ride minature steam trains with your children.Nice place everywhere at this park and lots of barbecue pits.

Great hiking and botanical gardens
The hike up to Wildcat Peak will kick you right into shape . Plus, the view is gorgeous.
Ride or hike up to the circle on the Seaview trail . It has the best views of the bay .
