Runyon Canyon Park is a park Los Angeles located in United States.
2000 N Fuller Ave (at Hillside Ave) Los Angeles , CA 90046 United States
1st time here on one of my many vacations to LA! Loved it, took wrong turn on trail n ended up trail C which is made for top athletes! Amazing views , pics n lots of memories!!
The hike can be up to 2.5 miles filled with inclines and steep stairs on the downhill. There are daily yoga classes and this is a perfect spot for people and celebrity watching!
The trails can be difficult coming down so you have to be careful but it’s totally worth it and such an accomplishment. Drink water, wear good sneakers and breathe in/out through your nose. ????
My favorite hiking trail . Lots of eye candy while getting exercise!! My dog loves coming here too. Great views of the city ...just perfect for hiking !!
Nice park but parking is awful on weekends! Grateful I was hiking with Ranger Ernie and he let me park inside the canyon. Wattles hike is INTENSE AND ADVANCED!!! I made it!!
It can get hot. There is almost no shade except for when the trail curves back and forth along the canyon wall. It’s also rather steep, so only strong runners can run the entire way. Bring water! Read more
Its chill dog policy and close proximity to Hollywood Hills homes make this park the holy grail of celebrity sightings. Celebs: All of them, but specifically Vanessa Hudgens and Gavin Rossdale. Read more
Take the time to explore as many different directions as possible. There are lots of ways you can hike Runyon and so many views of LA to be had - including the Hollywood Sign .
Parking can be a pain but it's definitely worth it for that amazing view . Plus the hike itself is the perfect amount of hard.
Leave time for parking and accept you might park a few blocks away. You’re about to go on a hike , so who cares about a few extra blocks! Also, wear grippy shoes if you’re going off the road .
Take your time, pace yourself, if you have asthma bring your inhaler!! On your way up and down, smile and motivate others. That was key to me making it up my first time.
Great trail which is really popular. Really difficult to get parked nearby. Typical Hollywood :)
AWESOME! The views from the top will more than justify the trek to the top.
This is definitely the OG hike in Los Angeles. Amazing views for your Instagram (which will attract the exact crowd you'd think it would). Even better people watching
Best hiking in Los Angeles. Start from fuller and melrose end with a Starbucks from Ralph's. You can finish at the same spot with a Pinkberry treat across the street :)
Great hiking spot. Beware of lose dogs and poop on the trail . Also this is a hot spot for celebs too so you never know who you might see on the trail . Rapper The Game is regular.
Take a long hike , bring the dog and enjoy the view - you never know who you'll bump into
Parking can be tough. If you can't find any make sure you check the signs along side the road if you do park there. I saw tons of people getting tickets.
Another Awesome LA hiking spot offering amazing views of Hollywood Sign and pretty much all LA.
Wonderful place to hike with the pups! Choices of steep or gradual incline. Only downside is the parking . Hope you are a great parallel parker!
It's a great trail and the view from there, when you hike to the top is phenomenal. Not that long of a hike , around 2.5 miles.
The park is a favorite place to hike with your dog and see not only some of the best views of the city but some of the best-looking people in the city . Sunsets and sunrises are spectacular.
The East Trail is challenging, but walking up the West Trail is were you earn results
Great way to spend an early weekend morning, wandering the Hollywood hills
"This hilly and surprisingly challenging hiking spot rises right up in the middle of Hollywood. It offers great views of downtown and Santa Monica, as well as prime celebrity-spotting." -TH
Forget the gym , Runyon Canyon is awesome workout! Get some fresh air , hike the mountain & enjoy the beautiful view of the city when you get to the top :) Doggy friendly ! parking sucks...
Great view ! Worth the drive and a pretty good work out.
Great hiking trails and city views .
There is always a great chance you will see a celebrity hiking it, great views from the top, a hidden tennis court and plenty of great looking people...definitely a fun fun hike Read more
HAVEN'T BEEN IN A WHILE BUT THIS USED TO BE ONE OF MY FAVORITE PLACES. A GREAT PLACE TO HIKE , WALK, TAKE IN LIFE!
Great spot to catch the sunset !
No restrooms/porta-potties here, and it's pretty packed all the time so sneaking a potty break off trail is dicey. If you gotta go, use restroom @ Ralphs on Hollywood & Fuller .
It's a great hike with some really good views of the surrounding LA area
Great place for a hike - easy or difficult, pick your own adventure! Limited parking so get there early.
Miles of well-traffic trails with great views of the city and the Hollywood sign . And, if you're one of those people who recognizes b-list celebrities, you'll enjoy it here.
Close to Hollywood, park in the residential area and bring water, especially if you are not "LA fit". Great views
This is the best trail for people-watching (and the occasional celeb sighting) as well as getting your heart rate up with steep climbs.
"Runyon Canyon= best views of LA , free yoga & multiple paths for beginner to Susan Powter-Fiend. Sprint first 100 yds to avoid dog pee smell."- Willam, RuPaul's Drag U
One of LA's best hikes . Hike along scenic trails with your dog off leash on 90 of the 160 acres. Good views of the Hollywood Sign , Griffith Park observatory and oh yea...celebrities who hike with th
If you bring your dog please pick up after him. If you don't bring a dog watch out for dog land mines ????????????
This is an excellent spot for off leash waking and running with your dogs!
It was great to get out and see an overview of the city as well as get some decent exercise at the same time!
Besides the amazing views ,natural workout and people slash celeb watching. Just in case you forget water or a granola bar , if you enter through the main get there is a donation snack and water bar
One of the best free activities in LA. There are a lot of dogs off the leash, so that's one thing to be aware of if that makes you nervous.
Me and my dog love this park . It's clean (despite what other posts say), great views and a great work out. I always bring my dog, so have not hit the free yoga class yet, but that is next on my list
When you enter, the path that goes straight is steep and a bit of a workout, while the path off to the left is much more gradual and laid-back.
Pet PSA... If you have a dog off a leash please pay attention to where he/she is at & what he/she is doing--as in taking a dump . Who wants to look at and smell poo on a lovely trail ? Responsibility.
Agree this is a great place to people watch and work out, but if you want an actual park with real hiking and the threat of coyotes and mountain lions, head further east on Franklin to Griffith Park .
Duff McKagan: Built from the old Errol Flynn estate, this trail sits smack-dab over Hollywood where young stars/starlets show their skin to producers & directors that hike here. http://bit.ly/phhnN0
Bring plenty of water and make sure your phone is fully charged for tunes and all the pics you'll take of the beautiful views .
Beautiful view. Good for tourist pictures. Also great workout! - Susana Monsalve jones
Yup high above LA - Abu Aya KD
Cozy place for kids and pets. A suggested place to spend your weekend with family. - LA Home & Style
Sweet little park to explore that is tucked into the hills. Great for kids and a decent amount of shade even on a hot summer day. - eric bornemann
As an out of towner, I always make In-N-Out my first stop after arriving from the airport. Double double and fries easy. Animal style depending on the mood. So good. - Marvin L
The store made guacamole is a bit pricey but worth every penny. - Júlio de Oliveira
