I’ve been meaning to go here for some time and finally went and was not disappointed. Love that they have a lot of specials which means they dictate their sushi based on what’s available.
One of my favorite sushi spots in BK. Try the spicy Mexican roll . Fish is always fresh. If you do Judo then you'll probably run into sensei Shina sitting at the bar .
Who knew the best kind of neighborhood restaurant would be a legit sushi spot ? Incredibly reasonable prices for omakase , don’t skip it. Snag a seat at the sushi bar if you can!
Grab a brooklyn roll with whatever else you order. A surprisingly lively eating experience compared to other sushi places in the neighborhood . Also, no delivery and closed on Mondays.
Omakase for $33? Can't beat that. Have a drink with Osamu-San and other characters at the bar . Sushi bar is the place to sit.
Appetizers (pork gyoza ; submarine tartar with salmon , jalapeno , and mayo ), soup specials, and a copious sushi platter for two prove why this place has been a Brooklyn institution since 1985.
Sushi is great. It they’ve got a bunch of other stuff. Try the udon or okonomiyaki or cold soba
Best sushi and also try the salmon collar from the grill! Great deal always. Big piece of fresh salmon for 7.50$! Favorites are the noodle soups and Dynamite Roll
Amazonas was awesome! Brooklyn, Rainbow, Shrimp Tempura were all good, Salmon Skin just ok. Great sushi .
Read the specials board. Chances are you'll be ordering at least two. The beer is cold, the sushi is fantastic and the people are amazing.
Worth the wait if there's a line . Friendly staff and make sure to check the white board for the specials. Shiitake mushrooms make a great app for the table.
Savor: Sumo Maki (tuna , salmon , fish roe , avocado , egg , asparagus , cucumber ); Dynamite Roll (tuna , eel , avocado , ginger flakes , crab ); Geido Sushi Special for two Read more
GEIDO is reasonable, and good. around since the 80s. go early. Don't ever end up at TARO across the street and down Flatbush... you will regret making a compromise.
Neighborhood spot for creative rolls and big, cold beers
The chawan mushi isn't worth it for a small cup. The pitcher of Sapporo draft beer is huge! :) the Geido sushi+sashimi is a bit on the pricey side. Shrimp tempura is worth the money. Order the entree!
Salmon avocado batera is delicious
They're always busy but the service is great. You may have to wait for a table but it's worth it.
My favorite sushi place in Brooklyn
The Obama roll was delicious.
DELICIOUS, FRIENDLY AUTHENTIC. All fish was super fresh, rolls were creative and excellent.
Great service and sushi . Love the karaoke bar /Hebrew school Purim party in a basement vibe.
Perfect neighborhood sushi . Wish it was closer to me.
Quite true Japanese , modern and brooklyn-ish. Everything is amazingly fresh, great sake .
Their Obama roll rox my sox. Oh and their Brooklyn roll , Katsu Curry , Veggie Tempura , and just about everything else...
One of my fav ny restos. Prob not the best sushi (vs say- Taro ), but freakn close and authentic service (friendly and low ac ). Also, lots of bang for your buck- 6 ppl drinks, multi courses was $150
The sushi is incredible. Go early if you have kids, or go later if you don't.
one of the better sushi places in park slope/prospect heights.
if you find yourself in the park slope/prospect heights vicinity craving sushi then geido is the place. sit at the bar and order as many special rolls as you can handle. cap it off with an order of Read more
Great fresh sushi . Try rainbow roll and Obama roll .
The spicy tofu soup is delicious and perfect for a chilly night. Cures what ails ya.
Sushi , draft Sapporo , relatively reasonable. Great service. Ambiance is lacking, but authentic .
Very delicious sushi ! Can highly recommend this place.
Sushi for two
It's all about the Obama roll !
Try the Amazonas, Brooklyn and Spicy Mexican Rolls . I also love the crab cream croquette and miso soup . Make sure to get Sapporo on draft .
Delicious sushi and cozy busy atmosphere!
Tako-su, natto roll, shochu with lemon - classic.
Service, fish
I've been going here since I was a kid. I LOVE this place.
Katsu-Don (pork ) was amazing!
Delicious sushi , not-so-great service.
Get the chirashi ! Or let Osamu and Sona work their magic with omakase .
The spicy seafood soup was a great hangover cure
Come all the way from Nj to eat here
Must try the sashimi and nugiri
Great food, great service, great prices.
Great sushi , interesting apps
Get the omakase .
The salmon sashimi is buttery soft.
Get their Chirashi bowl

The weekday lunch specials rest very cozily in my tummy. Highly recommended. - Joe D
Great vibe, cool Art Deco lighting, and super friendly bartenders. Cocktails are amazing!! - Arsie Jiwajinda
Really can't go wrong with anything, but the marshmallow/rice crispy ice cream is out of this world. - Meg Farmer
