I've never been to Asia but I imagine I would frequent places like this there. Order some delicious soup and noodle dish , get yourself a ginger tea , watch Chinese TV & bask in the seedy neon lighting.
One of my favorite authentic Chinese food joints in Chicago. I have yet to try anything I did not like. But beware the Szechuan chicken : it will literally destroy your mouth.
Try the fried fish filet w/sweet saki sauce. Delicious, breading is very light, sauce isn't overpowering (a very slight dip will do), comes w/a bowl of steamed rice . Order a side of chinese broccoli !
Loved their salt and pepper pork chops ! Also tried the rice cakes , shrimp fried rice and shrimp dumplings
Nice dish with beef with sweet souse and onions . Do not order the soup . Good service and reasonable price.
Great hours, prices, portions, & flavor! I really liked the garlic chicken fried rice & beef chow mein but next time I'll ask for extra meat.
I had the chicken satay , and the beef and broccoli and both were delicious. The service was good too, and it's nice and clean .
my family loves their early lunch and breakfast meal sets. i'm a fan of their hk french toast and milk tea .
Late night (opens til 5am) hot spot in Chinatown. Great food, friendly staff , and your bill will be cheaper than 2 mcdonald's meals. Can't beat that.
First time here and already impressed by the decorations and special drawer with utensils built in the booth . Total awesomeness & open late !
Authentic casual Hong Kong style fare- would recommend the rice noodles ! Good food for a good price.
Clean and comfortable . Excellent egg drop soup , crab rangoon , beef with mushroom and snow peas .
Great place for a late night meal. Also, Chi Cafe has the quickest delivery service if you want to order at home.
The congee bowl was terrific, especially considering how cheap it was. Outstanding value.
Their sweet saki sauce is so great! The chicken wings or beef in it is super awesome!
Open 24 hours and affordable breakfast until 11:30 am
Sizzling beef in saki sauce, and the salt and pepper pork chops !
Try and purchase one of the vests that the servers are wearing. They are holy
Wonton noodle soup : the wontons have a strong hint of cilantro
Pork belly , sizzling eggplant , salt n pepper Squid extra jalapenos , hot n sour soup , mango smoothie ... Call it a day.
Sizzling sirloin in sweet saki , salt and pepper squid , chi stir fry special, chicken wings and curry fish balls = heaven.... I suggest you try at least on of these dishes...
Best hot & sour soup ever.
Huge menu and portions for a good price. Expect to take home leftovers!
Beef with saki sauce was incredible.
Bright place, good food, open till very late(till 5 am!!).Reasonably priced with interesting variety and meal size. Best place to go and have food after a late night partying!!!
Cheap dishes for your Chinese food fix. Beef in sweet sake sauce, salt & pepper squid . Entrance on side. ????
Do not be scared of the little black balls in your smoothie ..... they are tapioca .... really big tapioca balls !!!! They are not monkey balls!
Awesome place, although there is no cell service to be had here
Most main dishes come with steamed rice .
A chic , couple-friendly Asian cuisine . However, it is NOT a true Chinese restaurant . There are far better places to dine if you are looking for a Real Chinese dining experience.
Everything was superbly delicious. It was perfect for my choosy palate.
It was delicious and it reminded me eating in the cafe in Hong Kong.
"Japanese Tofu with King Mushroom " is awesome!! the tofu is sooo crispy and the sauce is delicious
Plenty of surprises on the menu. Try the salt and pepper smelts.
Open late ! Try the fried sticky rice with dried shrimp and sausage . Yum.
good for dim sum , snacks & meals, open 8am-2am, til 5-am on weekends!
Salt and pepper pork chops are always satisfactory.
The nicest staff ! Everyone is always welcome!
The sunrise specials are what I always get here. Cheap , fast, and good.
Perfect late-nite joint, open 24/7 on weekends!
One of the best Chinese places in the city .
Each table has a hidden drawer of utensils & napkins.
Best place for breakfast meals in Chinatown- includes drink!
Wontons were more like shrimp balls wrapped in wonton wrappers
go for the rolled noodles or even the pan fried turnips . absolutely delicious! skip the smoothies (peach ), unless you want an icee.
Boiled beef tripe
salt and pepper smelt with some white vinegar ftw
Great for my late night black tea and wonton cravings!
Great food! And open 24 hours !
Food is so cheap that almost every dish is under 10 dollars.
Xiao long bao (Shanghai style soup dumplings) made from scratch! Also fruit smoothies and bubble teas. You can watch them make the dumplings and the noodles. - Roxanne Coffelt
Get the xiao long bao, siu mai, and fried shrimp/corn dumplings. So good! - Mark Lindzy
Such great prices for a good amount of good. Any of the 'over rice' dishes seem to come out at around $5! Awesome. - Sheena
I love the green tea milk tea with tapioca it's my go to. Hands down best milk tea place around - Maia Feruzi
I had a good time in Chinatown, & it was definitely one of the highlights of my Chicago experience. Stock up on candy, bubble tea, & cultural goods! I just wish there were more entertainment options. - Daniel Crum
Everything I've had here was awesome! The lemongrass wings and udon soup is to die for! - Joy Sinegar
