If you arrive early enough on Sunday the service is great and food comes quickly. Later on the kitchen struggles to keep up with demand, and if it's sunny just forget about eating here.
Delicious Sunday Roast , I had the lamb but my friends' chicken and pork roasts were great as well . Lots of families, so expect noise and crying children.
The food is fantastic and reliable. The place itself is super cozy and cute and in the summer the outside garden is the best spot to relax in the afternoon.
Vegetarian roast is the best I’ve had, they make all their own desserts , and there’s a massive garden during summer
Really lovely pub with a huge outdoor space . The food is at the top-end of average prices but well worth it. Head there for an extended Sunday afternoon session, the roasts are great.
Great beer garden - plenty of space (less on a sunny Friday evening). Good range of Camden beers and ales .
Monday Pilates upstairs, brilliant. Only £12 and makes you feel so good before hitting the beer garden . Andy, the teacher from @InHabitPilates is simply gorgeous!
Had lunch here today. Between us we had salad , burgers and fish & chips . Good service and delicious food.
You gotta have Scotch Egg with some thick cut chips and a pint of beer at their garden !
Amazing pub , I definitely love the ambience here, good for any kind of occasion
Arguably the best Sunday roast I have ever had. I went for the lamb .
Upmarket pub where conversation is king. Great real ales .
Great Sunday roast !! Had the Chicken . Everything was cooked to perfection.
Nice big pub . Has cozy fireplace and quite good food and ale selection
Spacious . Decent service. And an excellent selection of beers and lagers .
The service is great, good selection of food and they have a fireplace !
Lovely large garden . Food tasty although burger portion was a little small for the price.
Excellent food, large attractive beer garden . A hidden gem .
Excellent garden and nice decorations inside
The pork is delicious, very tendered. Desserts also great.
Gorgeous interior and a good beer selection . Unfortunately full of the annoying posho crowd.
Does a lovely roast dinner , with good veggie options
Omg! Do not order a burger here when it is busy! It makes like McDonald's taste like it is from a Michelin star chief. No amount of sauce can save this massacre to your tastebuds ( and wallet ).
Perfect place if you want to spend a mellow moment with your friends. Nice staff too.
big outdoor garden , loads of tables!
On a summer day the garden is fantastic or even a spring day. Don't expect good service though. They really should have a pub quiz or something to try an generate a little bit of spirit.
Painfully slow bar service . Excellent beer garden !
Nice huge garden !! Great for summer!
Not been here for years. Was not that nice but now it is part of the Islington boom. Nicely decorated and furnished. But £30 for a bottle of prosecco ? Garden full of tables with plenty of shade.
Great office for the day
Great beer garden , very family friendly
The garden is glorious. Arrive before everyone else, don't rush and make a day of it.
Don't even think about ordering cask ale here. So we switched to wine . And we sent back 6 bottles which I think are all stored by the radiator. And if you think we are fussy the manager agreed with us
This is good for Sunday roast / brunch
The lamb stew is good but the portion is very small for 15 quid. Was more of a starter.
Good food and very generous portions .
Middle class pub , quite dry in atmosphere.
Great beer garden
Really good burgers !
Awesome food
Great beer garden , not enough toilets !
Great pub for a beer , the garden is large and perfect for a warm day/eve. Don't bother eating here tho - service is poor and so is the food. Don't waste your money.
Amazing beer garden !!
Great beer garden , poor service.
Not too bad as a pub but put any notions of weekend eating from your mind. Service is so slow that lunch literally becomes dinner here
Good beer garden . Never gets too crowded .
Family friendly
This is a revolting pub . Used to be ace, now disgusting meat market chain.
Ridiculously, farcically bad service. Booked a table, didn't have our order taken for a hour, then told it was an hour wait! Nice garden but not worth it.
Good food and friendly staff BUT overpriced. £15 for a fish pie with 1 veg side. £10 burger tasty tho.
Great quiz night on a Tuesday, and big enough to usually have a table free. Good pub fare too. - John Gilberts
Great beer selection, awesome kitchen and friendly staff! Chicken pie and beef burger are both good! - William Wang
Enjoyed drinking light ale by the fire with a pulled pork brisket. The menu is great if you want a meat fix. Worth a visit. - Z Hoeben
A bit expensive but the food and service is great! Try the Sunday Roast, you'll get the biggest Yorkshire pudding you've ever seen. - Jess Parker
Great little park - perfect for a stroll on a sunny day. In between two parts of the park there is a great pub - Marquess Tavern. - Michael Wozniak
Great cocktails, nice place. Definitely worth visiting. try the 'east end' - Paris Apostolopoulos
