The beach is nice and not crowded . The staff is super friendly . The rooms are a little on the older side but they are well maintained. SPG elites are treated well here.

If you stay in the rooms looking over the sand beach , you get a free Polynesian show from your balcony . Order a pizza and grab a bottle of wine on your way in from the airport . Enjoy the show!

Lovely location on the beach ; beach pool and Lava 's bar & grille is really good. Garden rooms are pretty average, although the pool by garden rooms is very quiet and a nice place to relax & get away.

Super nice beach and staff . As other reviewers have said -- it's a little older and not as spick as the Hyatt down the way. No onsite spa either. However excellent service and their Luau is fun.

A solid Sheraton resort . The architecture harkens from the late 60s, but the amenities are modern. Try the South Side Mai Tai at Lava 's: not quite so sugary, with a nice kick!

Check out the use of the hotel car to go to dinner or some other place. They will drive/pick-up on a first come -first serve basis. Great Staff and very helpful. we will be going back.

Showing a bit of age but still a solid resort . Garden rooms don’t have the views but are still very good. Poipu beach is great for keikis. Plenty of eating & shopping options within walking distance

You can ask them to bring launch chairs over for in front of your cabana as well . Perfect combo of sun and shade!

A lot has changed with the renovations. Breakfast and dinner.are at the new Run Fire. Food was his and interesting; the views are fantastic. Lunch is at Lava 's by the ocean pool.

Mid grade hotel . Didnt feel overcrowded by the pool and at nice despite, supposedly, being fully committed. Garden rooms are across the street from the main hotel , pool, restaurant etc...

Okay resort . A little worn. Despite Titanium Elite, gave us very mediocre garden view room. Beach is beautiful. Food is good at Lavas . Reasonable drink prices but food is expensive as expected.

Best sunsets in Kauai. Very good beach . Easy access from the hotel .

The new restaurant Lava 's just opened today by the beachside pool. Open daily from 10:30am - 9:30pm. Prices seem a bit more reasonable than the main restaurant , too.

Late flight but early checkout? This hotel has a "hospitality room" for guests who have recently checked out where you can shower after spending the day at the pool/beach. Perfect!!

Rum Fire just opened- amazing views and delicious food at good prices! Check it out if you're near by!

Sheraton Kauai Resort Renovation Update as of 6/2/2011 -- On July 15th the new oceanfront pool and pool side restaurant will open. On July 30th the newly refurbished ocean lobby will be ready.

If you're here on the months December - April and sitting on the beach don't miss the humpback whales jumping in the horizon:)

You'd think that a four star beach resort would have it together re: towel service. No dice. They are often out + when you can actually get them, they are threadbare, dingy + tiny. Bummer.

Everyone grumbles about the garden rooms being lame, but they are way cheaper, quieter and still convenient to the rest of the bldgs. They do seem a bit damp + musty though.

Grab breakfast at Rum Fire for the best beach views on the South side.

Make sure you get a room on the beach and not across the street in the garden . Food is good but drinks are weak. Get beer .

Need a serious update but the beach is beautiful. Pool is good. Staff is nice.

Nice hotel in a beautiful location. Restaurants are expensive , and the drinks are weak and overpriced, though. Stay here, eat & drink elsewhere.

Lavas serves up delicious food! Try the bento boxes !

Definitely try the sunset Surf & Turf al fresco at Shells. Really makes you feel like you've arrived in Paradise.

beautiful location with a great beach . dining isn't excellent, but the rest makes up for it.

Currently under renovation, so a Tom of stuff is free, like breakfast , Mai tais and snorkel rentals

Can't recommend the Oasis bar & grill, sadly the only place here for lunch after 1:30pm. Prices & service - not good.

On site food is dreadful + way overpriced. Even for Kauai! There are many better options within walking distance . Go to those.

Stay somewhere else. This is the dirtiest and most unfriendly of all hotels on poipu

Great ocean views !!!

If your hungry, the hummus is good, but their overpriced pizza tastes like it came out of a cheap box and thrown into the microwave. Eat elsewhere if possible.
