If you like the fountains during the day, wait until night falls, and they light up. Unfortunately this area does attract certain types of people, so have your wits and belongings close with you.
@Mike R The real food market is here on the 2nd and 4th weekends of the month including Fri. Local meat and sausages , cheese and fruit and veg stalls and various take away inc Caribbean. Worth a look.
is a great place to be specially during the day a beautiful park with water sprinkles and full of movement from bars to restaurants
Piccadilly Gardens is a great place specially when it sunny days but know they stop with the water fountains , that's very bad because picadilly loses a lot without that
Nothing like as unsafe as some like to claim! That it's central, public & broad puts most off causing trouble here. Be more careful of Market St, too many side streets for muggers to lurk/run down.
Run through the fountains in your pants. Seems to be popular with the locals and a cost effective alternative to the beach or having a bath, even when it's not particularly warm.
Lovely open space for people watching .
Good place to meet with friends or just chill , eat lunch , etc.
Lovely garden in Manchester especially in summer ????????.
Enjoy the sun and the many street performers .
very spacious piazza with cafes and shops all around.
A nice garden to central of Manchester town .
Nice atmosphere in the middle of the city centre ????
One of the people who like relaxing more ????????
Great place for a nap in the summer! So much life!
Fresh food at the market every Friday and Saturday. Smells awesome.
Give yourself a few minutes - just to get the atmosphere.
One of Manchester's few open spaces . Could be nice if it didn't have a giant concrete wall running through it. Reminds me of communist Germany
Quite busy most of the time, but really nice when's sunny outside.
Relax , relax and relax
Great to have a meal at the Mercure hotel and people watch !
Beautiful place to have a break ????
Absolutely fed up of the beggars here. Wish the police would sort it out!
Make sure you don't get bombed but the pigeons .
Bring an umbrella... also has the markets at Christmas and the odd occasion throughout the year.
Very nice place to relax love going there
There's always someone performing and it's lovely!
The music on sunday is so amazing
Nice open space to people watch but still hate the grim grey walls
Warch out for the tramps that dance in perfect unison to Snap's I Got The Power
It's a good spot to arrange a meeting during the day.
It’s the center of the city
MALES: Pee at the standing-outdoor/open-air toilet things at the west edge of the gardens , next to the tram stop.
Just sit there and enjoy the great city .
Funny idea of a garden they have up here, innit!
Council cutbacks,,,full of litter, no lights at night, gangs and drunks. Great impression!
Centre of the centre
Nice if you like pigeons - I do ;)
The only snow in Manchester)
Watch out for nut jobs and muggers ???? "There Watching"
Finalmente Sexta!
Mind how you go - I dislocated my shoulder tripping over one of the raised levels here!
Pokemon hub for Manchester.
Great coffee at Nero and fantastic for sunbathing and preving lol
Why is the fountain only ever turned on when it's raining? The mist part on the other side of the bridge doesn't work anymore either.
Keep your hands in your pockets and your head down. Scary place after dark.
Used to be a lovely public space. Now it's a mess.
Barburrito
Also watch the drunks dance around. It's really quite amusing.
Nice fountain
