This might be my favorite secret local spot in the entirety of Rome. Get the mozzarella di buffaloa, caccio de pepe, and the steak w/porcini mushrooms . Also, the liter of Chianti is a must ;)
Best Cacio e Pepe in Rome , according to Anthony Bourdain . It does not disappoint, in a Parmeggiano cheese bowl . Lively spot filled with a mix of locals and tourists on a quiet square in Trastevere.
Incredibile, incredibile, incredibile! Delizioso! // My favorite place in the whole World! Incredible pasta with cheese (Casio e Pepe)! Must try! Tiramisu ... Mmm!!! Awesome! Super friendly staff !
Without Anthony Bourdain I’d never found this place. It’s in an unassuming piazza in Trastevere. Best gnocchi I’ve ever had in my life & fried artichoke was my favorite thing I ate in Rome that week.
While the cacio e pepe is amazing and the reason I went here, I find the portion is too small and too expensive . You can have plenty of amazing cacio e pepe in Rome for less
You have to go this restaurant for famous Tagliolini cacio e pepe . It is really UNBELIEVABLE. The tasting is perfect. But the others ( as starters and deserts ) are not special just average.
Cacio e peppe its a must. Even best chefs appreciate it here. Secluded place, far away from tourists , they know their stuff. Charming!
Great little hidden gem in Trastevere, you have to try their Cacio e Pepe pasta (cheese and pepper ) which is served in a parmesan crust! Great spot for lunch .
The best place ever!!! Very Italian, very delicious!!! VERY VERY COOL PERSONAL!!!!! must have to try primi piatti!!! Very small and cozy ! I fell in love!) ❤️❤️❤️????????
Do me a favour and try 'cacio e pepe ' !!! & mousse de chocolate . Enough said! Roberto is a star: perfect service! Gem in Rome!
Definitely worth getting the cacio e pepe . If possible, book ahead for a weekend dinner if you want to get seated before 10pm
Situated in Trastevere, it is by far the best restaurant in the area. It is also one of the least expensive places to eat in the city . Read more
cacio e pepe was delicious!! we also tried two different kinds of pizza .. yummie!! excellent panna cotta alla fragola!! already miss this place!
Great little hidden jam in Trastevere, you have to try their Cacio e Pepe which is served in a parmesan crust! Great spot for lunch .
Roman specialties only! Try to get a table outside ...The cacio e pepe is a must and comes in a delicious baked cheese bowl
Best pasta we've had in Rome! Cacio e pepe , beef carpacio & burrata mozzarella are a must!
Real delicious traditional local Roman dishes ! Friendly service ! Located in Trastevere which is the best part in Rome!
Perfect seafood and pasta . Must try cacio e pepe , grilled fish and scampi . Make a reservation 1 day advance.
You can’t go wrong with the Cacio e Pepe ! Amazing!!
Anyone calling this the best cacio e pepe in Rome simply doesn’t understand cacio e pepe .
5 course meal is fantastic, good friendly service .
Cacio e pepe in a cheese bowl ?!? What more could you want?! Be sure to make a reservation ahead of time.
Great food and atmosphere. Fair prices . Would be almost perfect with a friendly staff ...
You must order artichokes - it's their speciality! :) And also try tagliolini cacio e pepe , it's delicious!
Best to make a reservation if coming on the weekend. Food was great but the waiter was a bit too tired for me. Forgot half of our order. Came well recommended though.
Cacio e pepe was very indulgent, but very necessary! If you need to, being the cholesterol meds of your choice! BUONISSIMO!
just go with their recommended dishes.. spaghetti in cheese basket was amazing
Anthony Bourdain put it in the map with Roma'a #1 Caccio e Pepe
Outside table is better but needs reservations . The cacio e pepe pasta is good.
Excellent Tagliolini with cheese and pepper served in a cheese crisp bowl. Yum.
The best cacio e pepe I've ever eaten wow
Cacio e Pepe - do it, right now. How is everything in life not served in a baked parmesan bowl?
The best cacio pepe!
This place is all about the cacio et pepe, don't bother ordering anything else. We had very average zucchini flowers , the toughest buffalo mozzarella I've ever had and overcooked steak & mushrooms .
I suggest you to try this "osteria", not very cheap indeed, but they serve real traditional roman dishes .
Very good Roman kitchen: try the Cacio e Pepe and the Carciofo alla Giudia
Hidden gem . Food was perfect
As others have said, the cacio e pepe is fantastic while the rest is only average. Friendly service , though.
Not an indian but a great (maybe the greatest) roman restaurant , just try Tagliolini Cacio e Pepe ! Awesome
Great food! This was sooo delicious♥️
cacio e pepe in toasted cheese bowl
Caccio e peppe were good, bucatini al'amatriciana were better. Do not order fior di zucchina or fried artichoke appetizers - very poorly done and served out of season, only for eager tourists .
Try "Apple cake "! Served with icecream , homemade , delicious!
Cacio e pepe and tiramisù
This feels like a real local place, tons of guests who seem like they've known the staff for decades. But sadly food is only average.
They also do not expect you to finish your bottle of wine , directly send the check after you are done with your meal without asking.. so rude..
Close but not in the heart of touristic both in location and food.
Honestly, I just ordered this as it's their most well-known dish but I personally didn't like it at all. Way too fatty and greasy.
You must make a reservation !
Make sure to book your table in advance otherwise you'll be turned away!
Homey trattoria, serves a mix of dishes from Umbria/Rome. Fresh pastas are excellent (esp Sunday lasagna which sells out) & oven-roasted brisket is otherworldly. Natural wines from Italy & Slovenia.$$ - Arlene Fletcher
Try their special pasta, tonnarelli with chicory and pecorino cheese. Outstanding! - Gino M.
Great atmosphere and food. Jazzy music. Try fettuccini with anchovies. To die for. Not many tourists. Always a good sign. - Wim Loncke
Cocktails and snacks. Great setting and crowd for an evening drink. And you won't need dinner afterwards - Nick Longley
For the price of the audio guide you can bypass the line. We shared one for a total of 8€, well worth it to jump the queue and the audio guide was very helpful - Robert Atkinson
A great place. You should visit during day and during the night as well. - Batuhan Sarıtürk
