Belém Tower is a monument Santa Maria de Belém Lisbon located in Portugal.
Av. da Índia (Cais da Princesa) 1400-206 Lisbon Portugal
One of Lisbon's iconic places. Dedicated to the Lisbon's nautical history. If you don't want to go up then view the tower from outside, stroll on the coast and in the garden . Enjoy a fabulous sunset .
Perfect spot for a selfie and the cover of the the Marco Polo city guide. ???? Nice place right by the water. A bit windy but absolutely worth the visit! ????????
Gorgeous and centenary by the same time, one of my favorite spots in Lisbon. A good place to take the best picture you can save from Lisbon, spend a little bit more of time there, enjoy the sunset .
Nice views of the Tagus river and a cool building to visit. It takes about 40 minutes to visit. Free entrance at the first Sunday of each month.
It's a beautiful tower and one of Lisbon landmarks . Come here before the sunset , and you will get the best sunset pictures in Lisbon.
Great view on the Tejo river and Atlantic Ocean — especially during the sunset . Very romantic , so don’t come here just on your own. :)
Beautiful on the outside-not exciting inside. Not worth €6 to queue for ages to climb up narrow stairs only to check out not so amazing views from the top. Best photos are with it NOT in it.
Getting here by bike on a sunny day is really great, spectacular view and a taste of summer.
It's really beautiful. It's also really hard to go to the top. You will have to wait inline a little bit because there's only one stair and a limit of time to stay at the top.
People are interested-in seeing the tower, they go up and watch the lake from tower and then suddenly they realise that they are there for the tower not for watching the lake :)
Read the history of Belem Tower before going and then just have a look from the outside then it’s more meaningful. You can take a hippotour afterwards which looks really funny!
Beautiful place, with lovely flowers and trees during spring/summer. The towers itself is amazing. Useful: Prepare yourself to climb many stairs.
Great view of Tagus river and Lisbon, but the stop-and-go method of stair climbing doesn't work well when people stop respecting it. You can find yourself waiting in the narrow stairs for a while.
A wonderful old building , fantastic architecture . Good views across the water and the area around it is scenic . Doesn't get ruined by the tourist presence.
An architectural jewel. Classified as World Heritage by UNESCO since 1983http://travelholicpath.tumblr.com/post/134074543095/unesco-world-heritage-site-tower-belem
Also known as the Tower of St. Vincent, this UNESCO World Heritage Site is one of the city 's finest examples of the Manueline style . Here, you'll learn a lot about the country 's nautical achievements.
One of Lisboa symbols. Beautiful and close to Discovery monument and Mosteiro dos Jeronimos Great views !
Great view from the tower. Plenty to do in this area. Look to the left on the river and see the bridge . (much like the Golden Gate.)
Beautiful landmark , good place to rest on the steps for photo ops. Has pretty massive queues
A must visit. There is not much to see inside but magestic outside. With Lisboa card there is a big line to get in. Prepaid tickets have no line (not the other-way around).
A beautiful tower overlooking the Tagus river . One of the main attractions in Belem that's definitely worth visiting.
Skip any audio guides and just walk up the tower. Great view ! There's a timer so make sure you make it on time!
One of the top attractions in lisbon. Great view of the river and bridge
even though the first Sunday of the month is free admission , it is not worth the line up! especially to line up to get in, then to go up a one way spiraling staircase , only to get back down again.
View at sunset is amazing
Built in manueline late gothic style, this white tower is the pearl of Lisbon, a jewel welcoming you in the gateway to Lisbon. Read more
Buy tickets in advance or avoid enjoying the tower from outside
Pretty tower on the beach . Walk/scooter along the water from the monastery to get here. Not sure it’s worth it to wait and go up.
Nice too see from the outside but skipped the inside due to the entry fee.
It looked better on the outside than on the inside. I wouldnt bother going in as its...empty with nothing to offer but a balcony you can take pictures. The terrace is closed and under restoration.
“Torre de fuck’em” not worth waiting for - 40min waiting time 6€ entrance fee not rally worth it - take some picture of the outside - done
Windy but pretty and on the top you have a great view of the river . Can't see anything from the city .
Fantastic!! Worth to go I recommend to you !
you can go around 5pm to see the most beautiful sunset , breathless view
It's nice to look at from the outside, but unless you want to pay for the view and queue a long time to get to the top, there's no reason to go in.
The Tower of Belem is a nice place to visit on a sunny day without wind. Has a fantastic view and good statuets. Take nice photos as well .
Architecture and history. Such an amazing place. A must see.
Like someone crossed a pirate ship with a castle . My inner buccaneer just wept for joy.
Discover a little bit of Lisbon's history. The UNESCO World Heritage is located on the beautiful seaside .
Beautiful views of Lisbon. Go there during sunset ????
Pretty place but long queue even with a lisbon card. Strange system inside of lights indicating whether you can go up/down steps that not everyone understood...
If you have a ticket already from the Geronimo Monastery , try entering via the "exit" line to save time.
Did not go in to the tower, but even the surroundings are worth a visit.
A historic monument offering beautiful views of Lisbon and the river
Go in the end of afternoon. The sunset light will make the tower even more beautiful.
A must see when in Lisbon. Try to catch a concert .
Rent a speedboat and take a photo from the river !
Go there around 6 oclock, the tower was closed but the view is better at these times.
Especially beautiful while sunset . But what isn't? :-)
Beautiful place to visit. But people don't use properly the "traffic lights" so it can get a bit messy.
It's amazingly big, it's really worth it to see, it's located in a great place, close to the marina and it has a great history... - RuteSalvadinho
Impressive monument! Nice area to walk around. - Olga Ramer
Well worth the admission price, the view from the top is amazing. The whole river in cinemascope on one side, the castle on the other, super view of the rooftops. Must visit if you're close by. - maique madeira
Beautiful architecture and really beautiful building. The entry to it is 10 euros though. So, if its in your budget I would totally recommend checking it out. - Yesh Yendamuri
Worth to go for! Very interesting but good view amazing to get a good shot while sunshine! - Ann Marie Ellison
