I could come here just for the Mala peanuts (also complimentary during HH). The food is top notch and you can pick the level of spiciness — go for spicy . Great service too!
Gorgeous spicy dry hot pot . Come in a big group (there's a table for 10 in the back) & split a couple bowls. Also order: husband & wife lung slices and the pig 's ear in chilli oil !
dry szechuan hot pot . get the liangfen and husband & wife apps to start. egg custard and a hotpot w/8 ingredients to split btwn 2 ppl. recommend the sweet potato , tripe , beef , and veggies/shrooms.????????
The glass/potato noodles are a must as they absorb more sauce which become more flavorful. Beef tendon is also my fav! If you're well practiced for spiciness def try the Super Spicy option.
Young fried baby chicken is very well cook season with cuming and chili pepper . One of their must have dish. Don miss it.
Named after the Chinese phenomenon of ma la (“numbing and spicy”), the restaurant’s starring dish is a variation on Chongqing-hailing dry pot, a stir-fry-like spread built with a choice of 52 add-ins Read more
Such delicious dry hot pot ! The fish was fantastic, it was so seriously so delicious. I highly recommend the glass noodles and sweet potatoes . This is my new favorite place!!!
Lot of food for the price, and the spicing is fantastic. Do get chicken thigh , broccoli , don't get: prawns (shelled, don't absorb flavors), taro (pieces too large)
Spicy , tingly, and oh so damn good. Order a spicy dry pot stir fry with any ingredients you choose (fish fillets and lotus root are favorites) and enjoy the unusual burn of the meal
This is a place to experiment. Pick a theme sea or land and go nuts with the choices. Do not forget to add noodles and vegetables to your bowl.
the dry hotpot is legit (also veg-friendly). spiciness levels are solid - we usually get mild and that's plenty spicy for us. feel free to get the next few levels up if you're feeling brave.
Spam, Beef Tendon and Sweet Potato are def worth trying for the dry pot. Also the Savory Egg Custard is good to balance out the spiciness of the pot. The back room is very large party friendly !
Loved their wok! Quail eggs , beef tenderloin , chicken , shrimp , corn , sweet potato , pineapple . Purple rice . Would have skipped shrimp and corn hard to eat. add noodles . Scallion p meh, eggplant good!
my favorite new restaurant in the city . 1st of all, great service. 2nd~ beautiful space and branding. 3rdly, perfectly executed, highly customizable dishes. hard to go wrong here. true love is real!
Only problem here is deciding on ingredients for your dry hot pot . The sauce is delicious if a little shy on málà. Next time I’ll try super spicy .
Dry pots were awesome, but for a chili head, the super spicy could have been spicier. Need to go back and sample some of the more adventurous dry pot items.
Careful - spicy means SPICY ! Four ingredients is enough for your hot pot but if you’re extra hungry, go for five.
Spicy means spicy . 3-4 items is enough for solo eating. Getting +1 dim sum means you're taking a doggie bag.
Great dry pot (get glass noodles , avoid dried gluten ball, they were like pieces of tire , couldn't eat them). Get the peanuts . Spicy is plenty spicy . Service is great on refilling your water glass! ????
Cheap for the quantity - get 4 if you're hungry, 3 if you're on a diet. The dry hot pot comes with rice , so consider if you want to order glass or potato noodles , might end up being redundant.
Delicious Sichuan food ! I love the dry pot style. Mild is already pretty spicy so be careful!
Definitely eat here if you can, but also take advantage of the takeout . Way way better than anything else in the area for a quick dinner to go.

Definitely taking my out-of-town friends here. Great dry hot pot , good service , and trendy decor. Will be coming back!
Appetizers are better than the main Mala pot. Loved the thousand year old egg and pepper , pig ear , and cucumber dish.
MaLa Dry Pot that you can't find anywhere else! The only place in New York that uses real spices instead of packaged condiments. Tons of flavor. Can't wait for my next visit
Awesome dry pot, but be wary of ordering "spicy". I pride myself on having a high spicy tolerance, but omg spicy dry pot is too much. Get mild and then if you want it spicer, ask for it
Dry hot pot is great. Fried chicken is real good and the cold noodles with pickles and cucumbers .
Very freakin good. Get the fish balls with pork and the purple rice .
Completely lives up to the hype! The spicy is the perfect amount of spicy and the portions are ????????
Order the hotpot spicy . The spinach appetizer and the scallion pancakes were very good as well .
Don't be stupid: stick to "mild" spicy . It will be plenty spicy for you.
Get the Gold & Silver manto :) the entree tastes amazing. Will definitely come back.
Everything is so good here. The chili oil is insanely flavorful and delicious with the perfect amount of heat
Get two mala bowls, one meat based and one seafood based. And the leftover fried rice is excellent!
One of my favorite spots in the city for spicy Szechuan
Regular spicy is hot enough anything more is too much to handle. One of my fav spots in EV.
Dry Hot Pot . Choosing 8-10 ingredients was good for two people. Fried dumplings are good too.
Love the peanuts and dry pot. Extremely flavorful food.
Real good dry hot pot . I dunno if it’s like THAT good though; maybe depends on ingredients
Spicy dry hot pot . Popular with long waits but worth
dan dan noodles , spicy tears, pig ear in chili oil , dry pot (obviously)
Have had leftover fried rice a few times now. I still don't know what's in it, but it's very tasty
One of my favorite go-to restaurants . I love it all.
Vintage China decor, decent flavored dry pots and friendly service . Tsing Tao beer is served here
So flavorful. The spicy is incredibly spicy .
The dry hot pot is the only move here, mild spicy is totally not 'mild' but go for super spicy if you want a real challenge ????
Definitely be careful of the Super Spicy Level, left me reeling. Regular hast he perfect amount of kick.
I was worried I couldn't handle the heat. I ordered the mild spice , and definitely could have handled more.
They put cilantro on everything so if you don't like it make sure you tell them.
❤️ Duck, crispy beef, cold sesame noodles, soup dumplings, Kung pao fried rice - jacqueline g
Fast service, good flavor and texture on noodles, really good lamb burger. Customizable spice level - Autumn Choi
They have some of the best vegan flavors in the city! Try the Ovenly chocolate chip cookie. - stephanie mckissick
Love all their cake. Current favorite the pokeball. Always crowded. Nice place to have a sweet moment. - Rachel
Customizable sugar and ice level. Great variety to choose from. The new milk caps are pretty interesting. The guys here makes drinks lightning fast! - Tom
