Royals Hot Chicken

If you're looking for hot chicken in Louisville , Royals has you covered. From mild to Gonzo (NOT for the faint of tongue , heart, and stomach), you can't beat this little restaurant in NuLu!

The chicken here was delicious, but it's heat scale is mis-calibrated. Prince 's mild = Royals Gonzo . Still the chicken was delicious as were the sides. 

The Hot chicken sandwich is amazing! Not as hot as Prince 's so you can go up in heat. But best hot chicken in Louisville . I would come here just for the broccoli salad ! Great Beer menu !

Since the soft opening, where they struggled, this place became one of my favorites. Everything on the menu is delicious.

Read great reviews and was not disappointed. Counter style eating, drafts on tap & delicious food. Spices were on fire so choose wisely

White Alabama bbq sauce is delicious. The seasoning on the chicken gets spicy so be careful!

Awesome chicken and the adult slushy is a must. Can’t beat the prices either.

I got the gonzo . It's very hot but has an odd taste. I regret not ordering a dipping sauce considering the fact that there was NO hot sauce on the tables. Joella's is superior and it isn't close.

Food = good. Service = really, really bad. If you absolutely have to have fried chicken in Nulu, give it a shot. Otherwise there’s plenty of other great options on Market Street.

Everything is delicious! Gonzo will not kill you if you like spicy .

Best chicken sandwich I ever had.

Worst and most overpriced food I have ever had. Sides are TINY. Dessert is garbage. Food seems hurriedly put together/SLOPPY! Will never return. Plac a wanna be copycat of something that its NOT.
