We ordered the chicken and pork dishes . Both were very good, and seasoned well . The pork was slightly over cooked but still flavorful. The grits that came the the chicken were outstanding.
Festballs were delicious - spaetzle & sauerkraut fried, then topped with an aioli w/ a kick - "German hushpuppies ." The restaurant seems German-inspired Southern more than Southern-inspired German.
Food was fantastic. Suggest the Sunday night sit down (roasted chicken w/greens & grits ) or the Chespiritos Daydream (ancho rubbed pork ribs & potato stack). Dessert is the chocolate pot de creme.
Experience Germantown's unique flavor via spaetzle , wurst and half a litter of Spaten Pils. [Eater 18 Member]
Had the Nachburger , it was awesome. The restraunt really had that farm to table feel. Didn't get to try the Beer Cheese or Duck fat popcorn but hoping to go back soon.
This is a nice Germantown spot on the off chance that your date is too classy for a round of beer & chili cheese fries at the nearby Four Pegs
Duck fat popcorn . It is the most magical snack . Every experience at this place is top notch. By far my favorite place in the 'Ville.
Southern spin on German food . Ideas outpace the execution, the cocktails were excellent, quaint space.
The sweet potato lamb is amazing, as is the duck fat popcorn .
Both appetizers we had were great, the spaetzle as well . I was a bit disappointed with schnitzel though. Overall I’d be back though.
Experience Germantown's unique flavor via spaetzle , wurst and half a litter of Spaten Pils.
Beer Cheese . Nothing more need be said. Except that almost everything else is just as good. Next time we try the Duck Fat Pop Corn .
Must return again and again until I've exhausted the menu. Absolutely one of the best in Louisville.
