Always great food, service a bit slow on hot days but that is just due to the sheer number of people that arrive!

Good pub food ; recommended are the pork belly , fish n chips and the puddings , which are large ('giant profiteroles' means giant!).

Nice pub outside of Reading with plenty of room. Outside seating and just by the canal .

Lovely pub by the canal . A very good place to take in-laws etc. Food is carefully prepared and the staff efficient - recommended.

Our waitress gave us attentive and prompt service . Food as you'd expect and we enjoyed our meal. But don't order the breaded mushroom starter which was more like armoured pebbles cooked in tired oil.

Great cycle destination, can cycle all the way from Reading along the tow path. Beautiful cycle and pub

Top tip: If you come in Winter, wear a jumper, I'm freezing! Nice pub though. Good food.

Don't forget to sit in the right outside seats for food.

Sunday roast mixed platter for 2.

Wouldn't recommend coming here on a sunny day for lunch . Nice place for a garden drink however, waited 2 hours for food .

Register online as a friend and get a free glass of house wine when buying a main meal.

Pub Quiz on a Monday night at 8:30. It Win!

They need to simplify the menu, because they can't do all of it well . Vegetarians poorly catered for.

Freezing here tonight - they had a fire and opened the windows !

NEVER had a good experience here. Waitress told us food was microwaved, kept getting forgotten about, waited hours for food . Yeah, just AVOID. Go to Longbridge Mill on the A33 for a Vintage Inn .

Roast beef was lovely, shame hubby's burger was a bit underwhelming.

Terrible service. We waited more than 1 hour. Never come here
