Of course the Beignets were great but trying to get service early in the afternoon was frustrating. We ended up getting take away . It was worth it though and the place seemed less busy in the evening

The line is long, but it moves fast. Good spot for breakfast--take an order of beignets to go and eat them on a bench in Jackson Square.

I've been to New Orleans many times & being a tea drinker, I have never stopped here. After many friends begged me to try CdM, I finally gave in... and WOW! Cafe au lait & beignets are outstanding!

Make sure you have cash. It's simple...beignets and coffee ...get there before 9 to avoid the line .

The wait for a table seems long but usually goes pretty fast. The coffee was great and the beignets were delicious.

Can't beat cafe au lait and beignets ...service isn't exactly 4 star but don't let that stop you. Definitely head inside if you don't feel like waiting in line . And DON'T WEAR BLACK ! haha

Well you gotta do it. Rain every day so couldn't go to the original location but thus mall location had the same beignets .

Go around the back and order to go instead of waiting to sit down because eating in the park is nicer.

Pick a table with a view so you can people watch as you enjoy you enjoy your beignets and cafe au lait .

Try the frozen cafe au lait . It's great when it's 95* out! The Riverwalk location is NOT "cash only ," which is great.

Iced cafe au lait . Beignets are fabulous too!

There is 1+ hour line for the patio . Everyone just gets in line . If you skip the line you can go indoor where it is self-seating.

The beignets here are very good, but I can't say the same about their cafe au lait .

The divine beignets (doughnuts ) at this New Orleans institution are served warm with a generous coating of powdered sugar .

They’re too busy to keep the quality, often get undercooked beignets .

Look for the tall older Creole man who busses your table while he croons. Classy !

FOR BEST (FRESHEST) RESULTS: 1. Go inside to avoid the patio line . 2. Order drinks, NO BEIGNETS. 3. Order beignets when drinks arrive. The servers have to wait in line for drinks, but not for food.

Go early. Your chances of getting a table are much better.
