This park is beautiful and not your typical park . Make an effort to stay until it gets truly dark. You'll see the stars like you've never seen them before. It's absolutely stunning. Dress warmly!
Hike the Hidden Valley trail to navigate in and out of boulders and find that elusive shade. The Keys View trail may be the shortest, but it provides an expansive view of the San Andreas fault. Read more

A SoCal gem with tons of boulder formations, Joshua trees, arch/skull rocks and cholla cactus . The weather is insane; hot during the day and cold at night but that night sky is killer
Amazing place! There's a lot of trails to hike .If you like climbing , this is the place. Also, you can see the beautiful starry sky at night. Thanks Pachamama for allowing me to see how beautiful you are
Amazing place to visit. Tons of hiking and camping . Surprisingly, many birds amongst the park as well . Many photos taken. Guide was Walker Wadkins, very knowledgeable .
Go to "hidden valley" exhibit . If you're nimble and adventurous you can find a way to the very top and all the way through the rock pile... Or should I say mountain . Beautiful.
Whether you're in search of a light morning hike or a rugged rock climbing adventure, this park has it all. Arrange a guided hike and they'll be able to show you to some of the most exceptional sites.
So much awesome! A $25 ticket gets you entry to the park for 7 days and it’s well worth it. Keep your eyes peeled for coyotes, various bird of prey and chipmunks amongst other wildlife .
Enter the park here. $15/car admission. Bring your own water. Hidden Valley and Barker Dam are two great intro loop hikes which also offer lots of off-trail rock scrambling exploration (recommended!).
Beautiful and fun scrambling. You can’t bring your dog onto the trails but you can bring your dog to take photos and scramble on some of the rocks.
See the San Andreas Fault from the top of Keys View . There is parking at the top and it's handicap accessible so this is a must see for everyone.
Wonderful place to wander and lose track of time. You'll feel like you're in a different world. Check out the Cholla Cactus garden , don't touch!
Love this place...sunrise to sunset ! Whether driving, hiking , camping , or meditating . Admission is $15...bring water, a sun hat, map is helpful to carve out your chosen adventures.
How could you not love this place. Endless hiking trails in such an unusual environment. Highly recommend Lost Palms Oasis trail .

If coming from AZ, take CA-62 to park . Scenic and nothing for miles except awesome scenery. The desert night sky is also an unbelievable treat, for those of us used to city light pollution.
One of my favorite national parks . I like to take landscape pictures, and the park offers really good settings for it, especially during the sunset . Good place to go stargazing.
You should see this place at least once in your life, it’s very interesting though I’m not into desert landscapes so I probably won’t go back...
First, bring lots of water, bring more water, then bring more eater and food! Nothing in the park . Desert at its finest!
Gotta bring lots of water and food, nothing in the park . Beautiful desert scene. Stop at visitors center for map!
One of the few national parks that you could (partially) enjoy with you dog ????
Breath taking view of the Milky Way at night. You can see so many stars! Hot during the day with very little to no shade.
So beautiful! Our next trip will definitely involve a stay at one of the incredible campgrounds .
Loved the crazy landscape! Hike Ryan 's and Cactus Gardens are so cool!
If you're going to visit, the Joshua Tree is way in the middle of the park . Other things you have to hike to see. Be prepared with water & hiking shoes .
Had special moment at Keys View and had a couple@of great hikes . I got a of pictures!
Come early in the morning for a more relaxed experience. Sunrise was so beautiful, cool, and peaceful .
The Joshua trees and rock formations are on the north side, so unless you are doing a loop, enter from the Joshua Tree side, not the I-10 side
Truly gorgeous and plenty to see for 1+ days
Come here and climb the rocks.
What used to be called 'Keys View .' the highest point in the park , overlooking the Coachella Valley. You can see Mexico on a clear day.
Spent the weekend here camping . Such a awesome beautiful place. Checkout Jumbo Rocks Campground . First come first serve. Unwind, do some shrooms and get lost in a world of nature.
You can avoid waiting and idling your car by using the south entrance off Hwy 10. Pay your entrance fee at Cottonwood Visitor Center.

The landscape is surreal. Read about how the boulders were formed in your park guide ????
