Bristol has two Marriott hotels , and although the Marriott Bristol Royal doesn't have a lounge , it is a very nice hotel just off the city centre and close to both shopping and restaurants .
Great interior but lacklustre staff training ...from coffees being served without saucers to half painted ceilings..the staff badly needs training .
I would avoid rooms on the lower floors on the Water Shed / Road side we had 1106 and it was very very noisy all night however they did offer free parking . Otherwise a very nice place to stay.
Good business Hotel , with decent size rooms. Breakfast spread is pretty good too

They struggle with delivering what's on the a la carte menu for breakfast .

It's beautiful- but VERY noisy at the weekend.
The system for car park payments is ridiculous. Took ten minutes on the phone. Take lots of change instead!
Rooms overlooking the front can be a bit noisy especially on Fri / Sat nights.
Underground parking does NOT give change!
