Come in the mornings (before 9), all is clean and quiet . Bring a book or newspaper. Very comfortable chairs with sunlight in your face.
Great selection of freshly made coffee , the Long Black is a must try and they sell their own beans. Definitely has an independent coffee shop vibe, nice atmosphere and free wifi . 20% off takeaway .
People outraging about H+H owned by Tesco , so what? Still great coffee and cosy atmosphere compared to horrible Starbucks or Costa.
longest standing (and most well-rounded) specialty coffee shop in crouch end at the time of writing. nice team spirit, too.
Fantastic coffee in the heart of Crouch End. Friendly staff and involved in the community. Only wish it was open til late.
Amazing coffe , great staff and beautiful design. My favourite place to have breakfast or for an afternoon reading :)
ignore the comments from silly people who ignore the fact the chain was launched by a small group if people who had a good concept and found a big investor. lol. i applaud smart biz big or sml!
Always a warm welcome, great coffee , relaxing atmosphere - can get busy at weekends.
Has been really good last year but has gone down since. Frequent staff changes, too loud and at times quite dirty - I'm sad to see what has become of such a nice place. Coffee is still the best tho.
It's not owned by tesco . They got some funding from them, independently operated as is obvious. Coffee is decent not amazing.
Friendly service , comfy sofas , good food. Perfect reading place for a Sunday afternoon.
They've stopped selling good beans and now just have one type of Union bean. They also sell v60s for you to make at home but the 'filter' they sell in store isn't great. Shame as it used to be good.
Very friendly people. Very good atmosphere to either work, relax or meet
I can't believe how sneaky they are! Oh Tesco only owns 49% of it! So it's not enough they kill all small business in so many struggling Euro countries they are trying to get one in on the yuppies too
This chain is owned by the Tescos group. They are not quite honest about this and give the impression they are an independent coffee shop . Just in case you might not want to add to Tescos vast profits
Had my first latte without sugar after staff recommended it. Delicious! Thank you.
My favourite is Prosciutto and Mozzarella Flatbread . Great atmosphere and staff .
Owned by Tesco and NOT FREE WIFI . Hate these places that say free wifi and then want to harvest details via login.
Friendly staff and vibe but...I absolutely hate their coffee ????. Possibly just personal taste.
I am not bothered if it is owned by Tesco , as long as the food and coffee is good, then it should not matter. This coming from someone who dislikes Tesco .
Decent coffee , not really up to the standard of Fernandez, Tapped, Sacred and most of the independents around London. Atmosphere and decor somewhat contrived, like they're trying a bit too hard.
The only chain to have the taste and atmosphere of an independent.
Further to my recent post and the good comments : <aclass="entity url"rel="nofollow" href="http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-20943739"target="_blank" data-sig="zg4KbxQdA5hZBShiMsFLI0e36ug=" onmousedown="fourSq.ui.OutgoingLink.mousedown($(this), event)" data-source="tip-text">http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-20943739</a>
Didn't realise Saturday mornings are so children friendly - yikes!
LOL at all the raging middle class hipsters leaving tips here.
Be warned, staff here are bored and rude - completely at odds with the hipster vibe the place is trying to create.
Nice coffee , not enough seating.
Can u use your Tesco Club Card in here?
Place looks nice, but espresso and macchiato are undrinkable. Really disgusting
I would avoid, the coffee wasn't that great and the staff where unhelpful
Congrats - you are now sitting in Tesco - NOT a nice independent as you might think!
Lovely local restaurant. Their breakfast (especially when combined with Mimosas) is epic -- do try the french toast! - Dewet Diener
Paulina and Dende are gorgeous baristas. Say hi when you drop by - Vicclesticks
The plums this week are wonderful. Really sweet and juicy - our packet was anyway! - Harringay Online
Love this pub. Great food and atmosphere, excellent drinks list and good staff. Neighbourhood gem. - Kelsey Hayes
Don't miss out on the savouries too. There are some nice garlicky crispy things worth a try. - Harringay Online
