Where I'm feeling homesick I come to Little Ploland for an amazing "home cooked " meal. Meats, mash potatoes and greenbeans. It's BYOB so plan ahead, but the food is cheap and delicious Read more
Amazing diner , was very excited to get a porkless combination platter though honestly, going all pierogi is probably your best bet. Service was slow but that's eastern European service for you.
Try the borscht of the day. You can't go wrong with the stuffed cabbage . The blitzes are huge and heavenly.
Best deal for breakfast anywhere within a 10 mile radius. Classic Polish Folks and a home like environment. Prices are great!
Don't let the grim decor fool you the food is delicious. Large serving size. It feels like an authentic home cooked meal . No liquor .
Old Polish restaurant with some great bigos (sauerkraut and pork stew ) and cheese pierogi .
I ordered the Polish platter which has perogies , blintz and potato pancakes . The only delicious thing in that plate was blintz . The others were average, sorry.
Has a "diner " vibe, don't expect a fine dining experience, but the food is good and consistent. If you like "hearty" food, then this is a place to load up. I would recommend the cabbage soup .
Try the matzo ball soup and the steamed pierogies and stuffed cabbage . Really good
Decent to good food and good prices. I enjoyed the pierogis and sauerkraut . The onion rings are good too. Not too greasy.
Potato Pierogi fried, skip the mushroom barley soup and enjoy the bread pudding for dessert
Really great fried cheese pierogis ! The chicken noodle soup has big chunks of fresh chicken , and the staff is really nice!
The bigos is my favorite, real stick-to-your-ribs food for a good price!
The portions are huge. Get ready for leftovers!
The blintzes are seriously the best I've had in the city . Pierogis are also tasty & I'm a sucker for the old school stuffed cabbage .
Zhurek in bread ! I had two! MUST!!!!!!!!!
Delicious pierogis and blintzes
Awesome pirogies! The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Nice and not expensive lunch . Home atmosphere. ~$9
Food was nothing to write home about. Was ok except my friend found hair in her waffle . Service was so slow and unfriendly..saw ppl get seated and left before ordering cuz service was too slow
Combination platter was poppin'. So good and lots to take home.
get pierogis before a movie
Inexpensive but authentics Polish place. I like it.
Just as good as Veselka, but it’s never crowded
Cheapest diner breakfast in the East Village !
i saw this happen
Excellent polish food for a cheap price!
You can't go wrong with the sample platter , but go for the meat & potato dumplings too. Maybe order an extra side of kielbasa .
I'm a fan of their zurek and bigos
Best chicken noodle soup on the island . Overall better eats than gentrified veselka up the street.
Try the Combination Platter - Yummy!
The combination platter is a nice choice!
Awesome kielbasa and eggs . Fast and cheap !
Simply my favorite place for breakfast on weekends. Special 'till noon.
literally the best place in the world
Sour kraut is the best
Good food and nice service. Stuffed cabbage and bigos are delicious!
Breakfast specials include potatoes , coffee , toast , and juice until 11:59am.
Bigos in Bread Bowl : $10.00
Try the Garlic Bread
Get the pierogis !
If you ever feel like crap, come in here and they'll treat you worse.
Old New York style polish diner . ????
Combination platter is seriously good and filling. You must byob here!
The potato pancakes are delicious.
Good Polish diner
Always a fav. But never sour soup :-(
Run, Simba. Run far away and never return. (unless you enjoy *having* the runs, in which case.. Go for it, tiger.)
Best pierogis in the East Village
I wonder why they got a grade C for sanitation. That's not reassuring.
Cozy, charming Serbian restaurant high on comfort food like braised beans with sausage, hefty spinach pies, and bacon-wrapped liver and dates. - Serious Eats
We had the veal pot, the lamb pot, the Khachapuri (cheese bread) and the Lobio (kidney beans with spices). Everything was delicious! Ask for the desert wine. - Dennis Kovalyov
HYGGE. Cozy, cool flavors to add to coffee like rose and lavender. Cool pastries (not vegan) hot chocolate. Coffee is good! - Aditi Luthra
Old school theater with modern comfortable seats - Lina Trifon
Great cinema, recommend the reclining seats - very comfortable! - Jessica Wickham
