It's an awesome tour the rangers are really informative. The sites are great and the movie is really good at the start. Great place to see great information on a great woman.
Definitely take the tour and don't miss the movie that precedes it.
When visiting here it feels just like you are walking through Eleanor's home as if she just stepped out of the house for a few minutes. A beautiful piece of our local history.
I got to know so much about this phenomenal human, outstanding role model and a champion with so many great accomplishments compressed into one lifetime
I absolutely love this place. So serene and peaceful . She was quite a lady.
Val-Kill, the only national park site dedicated to a First Lady , was the retreat of Junior League volunteer and UN Delegate, Eleanor Roosevelt.
Gorgeous, easy forest hiking trails . Family friendly .

This is very different than the Roosevelt mansion on Rt. 9. In order to get a more complete understanding of Franklin & Eleanor, you need to tour both locations.
Val-Kill gives you an opportunity to get to know Elenor without Franklin
If you do the rail trail bring bug repellant . The Mosquitos are terrible, but the walk is nice
A great place to visit. Very well put together, the library is full of so much information of FDR's presidency. Everyone should visit the home and the library of one of the most beloved presidents - Liliana Repollet
I enjoyed the tour, and museum. The grounds are beautiful. I’d recommend bringing something to eat, because they have picnic tables on the property. Tour & museum will take approximately 3 hours - The Traveler
Great afternoon walk from the wooded trails of Val-Kill. About 30 minutes to the top. - Joanna C.
Love this place! Anything you get is great. Late night hangout as well - Rachel Bindel
