Wonderful and huge park in the centre of Madrid. Lots of activities (renting a boat or bike or theatre for kids), pretty sights and monuments . Love it, must do in Madrid!

Check out the updated terrace near the southeast corner of the park . It's near the dog park , Huerta, has a children's area, friendly staff and relaxed ambience !
Utterly beautiful park that kids huge. There are museums , lakes to row in, along with plenty of room to play sports or have a picnic . Your day is just do much better when part of it is spent here.
In spring this huge park is absolutely gorgeous. The crystal palace has art exhibits , as well as the museum within the park . Perfect for sunbathing , working while sitting on grass, or picnicking .
The public park is an immense green space suited for long walks and snacks on cafe terraces . Consider renting a rowboat and spending 45 minutes plying the waters of the lake in the park 's center.
Park Retiro is one of the best places in Madrid for young families - a very large space with a lake , different kid's playgrounds , beautiful Crystal Palace and a lot of other activities.

It's huge! Very nice place to have a pick-nick or just to relax and read a book . There is a pond and you can rent a rowing boat.

Park is beautiful, cosy and perfect for a long stroll. In the central pond big fish are actually jumping out of the water, in smaller ponds turtles can be seen resting under the sun.
Hands down the best park in Madrid . Always full of life, day or night. Super pretty gardens , so many monuments etc. Must see the lake and glass house.

One of the bests parks I have ever been to. More like an arboretum than a park . Water and fountains everywhere and the place is immaculate. A highlight of our trip.

Best days to go to Retiro are rainy autumn days. You will see the park almost empty, super quiet and with awesome orange and yellowish tones all around you!

One of the best places in Madrid for taking a walk, do some casual cycling, watch the street artists or take a nap in the grass :-D. In the rush hours (lunchtime in weekend) gets a little crowded .
