I just LOVE DTF. I've been to the ones in Singapore and Malaysia and have been obsessed with XLB at DTF. Tried the pork and truffle XLB and it was really really good. $22 though ???? and 2 refular $20
This gorgeous soup-stuffed dumplings are the signature item at Din Tai Fung, a global chain of Chinese restaurants with three locations in the greater LA area.
This outpost of the Taiwan-based Din Tai Fung empire is known for its precisely handmade dumplings , which you can watch being meticulously made by lab-coat-wearing technicians behind a glass window . Read more
Free valet at the Americana if you eat at Din Tai Fung. You must order soup dumplings , shrimp shao mai , and spicy wontons .
You will wait & it's worth it. This is the go to place for dumplings wo driving to 626. Beautiful place Americana mall . Your taste buds will be happy. :) Expect to pay fancy prices.
Absolutely loved it! Xlb, wontons , woodear mushroom salad , sticky rice ... everything was amazing! Don't forget lychee slush (add aloe )
I love Din Tai fung, but . . . skip the truffle dumplings . It's hard to find the flavor. If you're used to eating real shaved truffle , this will not satisfy your craving. Go for the standards - pork !
Excellent food now closer to Hollywood, SFV and the Westside. Same size as the original in Arcadia. Good for weekend lunch . Bigger window to watch dumplings being prepared .
Satisfied my xiao long bao cravings; you'll never go wrong. Mango green tea with aloe is a must try as well . Staff are all friendly and attentive; Benjamin's one of the best in here.
Pork and shrimp shao mai is delicious! Tasty pork buns . The soup dumplings were a little small but delightful. Great drink menu, but expect to wait for your booze.
Sooo good. Dumplings are pretty much amazing, avoid peak dinner & lunch hours or you'll be waiting an hour +. You can leave your name and number at the host stand & do a little shopping though.
Wait isn't as bad if you go before 11:30am. The xlbs are obviously very good but my favorite are the spicy noodles and sesame noodles . The spicy shrimp and pork wontons are worth it too.
Bring your appetite! The soup dumplings are, of course, incredible but so are the noodles , appetizers , vegetables , etc. Note this is NOT a quiet restaurant and can require a long wait .
Vegetarian dumplings ! Thankfully, the menu is very well marked which are the vegetarian options . Sadly, no vegetarian soup dumpling options.
They offer a wide variety of dishes, from steamed dumplings to fried pastries. The food is typically served in small portions, so you can try a variety of dishes.Dim sum is often eaten with tea
Any of the juicy soup dumplings ...yes. Do yourself a favor and skip any dumplings with veggies inside. Get their ACTUAL veggies like bok choy or green beans . Shanghai rice cakes are amazing.
Put these pork soup dumplings in your mouth and forget you just waited an hour for a table. The fried noodles will rock your mouth too
Excellent, well worth the 30 min wait! Get a reservation !
So black sesame XLB isn't listed on the menu, but it's delicious. So order it for dessert . You'll make a face like this while eating.
Love their food! You have to go at an odd time though otherwise the line gets really long.
Considerably less busy than Din Tai Fung's other locations -- perhaps because the soup dumplings seemed about 10% smaller -- but it's still undoubtedly Din Tai Fung. Try the Lychee Bubble Tea .
In addition to the XLBs (what you're here for), get the pork and vegetable spicy wontons and the rice and pork shao mai
Oh how I love this location - so efficiently run. Just make sure you get there early enough - the waiting list may fill up well before they close.
Besides their second to none dumpling , try out their simple and on point chicken soup . For dessert the Taro bun was unstoppable.
Solid food and great prices, but nothing to lose your head over. The wait times will make you think it came straight from God's kitchen. That said, will be back, but only with a reservation .
Juicy pork dumplings , mixed spicy wontons , and garlic string beans are crucial. Half dumpling orders aren't mentioned on the menu but are key to trying more!
The chicken dumplings are the best on the menu.
Chocolate XLB is the highlight of the whole meal, the regular one is not very legit here compares to their locations in Asia.
Juicy dumplings !!! Also... Garlic string beans , pork chop , fried noodles with chicken , and of course their... Juicy dumplings !!!
Long wait , but you can leave your cell number and they will text you when you table is ready. You can walk around the Americana or get a drink and not worry about the wait!
Shrimp and pork wonton with spicy sauce is absolutely delicious - sweet with an understated spiciness . Can't wait to get it again!
More expensive than Arcadia locations. Juicy Pork XLB - $9 for 10. Pork & Crab XLB - $11 for 10. Truffle Dumplings - $22.50 for 5.
Juicy pork dumplings . Vegetable pork wontons . Hot and sour soup . Thank me later.
My favorites - Pork XiaoLongBao and Shrimp and Pork Wontons with spicy sauce (we got not spicy )
Found this place on theskedge.com since I'm new to Glendale (apparently everyone talks about it thought) so I had to see what the hype was about. Few words: BEST DUMPLINGS EVER.
Truffle dumpling (pork ), pork soup dumpling were a hit on our table not for me as I don't eat pork . Use the vinegar sauce
The xlbs are delicious just like the other locations but I hate the service in Glendale. The waitstaff acts like cheerful, creepy Stepford wives and hover over you constantly. Go away & let me eat.
XLBs are great but so are the pork and rice shao mai and the spicy pork + veg wontons
if there's a wait, go over the menu and mark your order on the paper so you'll be ready once you're seated!
If it's just the two of you, try eating at the bar ! Immediate but limited seating
Beat the crowds and arrive between 2:00-5:00 on weekdays.
Everything in the menu is great!
Pork Xioa Long Bao . Go early. Line forms inside.
Amazing dumplings and dishes. Enjoyed everything. The wait wasn't that long in the end.
Get the soup dumplings ! Best in the world!
Going to this location means you can shop around while you wait.
Just as good as the one in Arcadia. And, unlike Arcadia, no wait if you go on a weeknight!
Just get soup dumplings until you feel like you'll burst. Worth it.
Very good and you can order half orders of dumplings so you can sample.
Pork w soup dumplings & garlic green beans , Rock it!
Louisiana styled pasta. And cheesecake of course. I tasted 3 and loved them all: mango, hershey and godiva. And everything at an honest price. - Brecht Hortensius
Good selection. Nice amount of places to sit and browse a book or magazine. - Sharon Lee
Andre was very helpful and knowledgeable. He knows, what he is doing, He made the process very smooth, accurate, and fast. Andre is a good asset for THE APPLE COMPANY. - Hamik Mirz
Spicy chicken and Shelby shrimp, Chicken fried rice and the Chinese salad. All excellent. Great meal - Nicole
Discovered this place with my little niece and nephew a year ago and love it. Sweet family style restaurant with delicious dishes and friendly service - orange chicken is a favorite! - Narine
Very nice atmosphere, dancing water fountain, lots of stores, good food, train and more - Chyrell
The ice cream, cookies, and cupcakes are amazingly good!! Try getting the cookie sundae! - Luke
