Five Star Hainanese Chicken Rice Restaurant

Boon Tong Kee may be synonymous with a lot of people for chicken rice but Five Star gives a different flavor into the mix that is sure to be enjoyed.

The hainanese chicken rice is delicious! They use kampung chicken which is local nomenclature for free-range chicken . The meat is firm and not fatty. Rice is not as fragrant . Good chilli sauce too!

Don't ask me why but I prefer Five star and this branch best over BTK ones. Would frequent this outlet often and love the Thai style toufu and boneless chicken feet ... Collagen!!:P

Omg their pi Dan spinach is epic. Creamy pi dan with soft but massively flavourful spinach .

For some reason, I call their roast chicken my favourite roast chicken . Efficient place and the desserts are not bad too.

Not a destination but at least guaranteed a decent standard of a famous local dish- Hainanese chicken rice . Reasonably priced too with aircon seatings available.

Decent chicken rice outlet that branched into a more diverse menu and degraded its food standards since. I'd advise against this place but for an almost all night outlet this part of town ? Not baf

Chilli is good... Rice nt as fragrant as before.. Overall still nice... Thai style tofu is delicious crisp on d outside smooth inside... 

My go to place for chicken rice

Portion size is small, especially for half a chicken but service is good. I think it's better suited for tourists .

Not as good as I remembered. Chicken was dry. Beansprouts with a stingy portion of salted fish was $10. Fast service though.

During lunar new year season, this restaurant charges extra fee (1.5 times). Be careful ! this restaurant is famous for chicken rice . Chicken is tender but skin is removed. Why ?
