Spiced crispy lamb $68. Has Middle-Eastern aromas, being grilled from cumin & paprika . Different from the other meat dishes. Served with pancake wraps , light dipping sauce & julienned scallions
Sweet & sour pork $48. Possibly one of the best I’ve tasted in the country . Expertly crispy on the outside, savoury meat in the middle. The sauce coats lightly to give the tanginess
Chilled aloe vera with crystal jelly & sour plum $6. If u hv never eaten aloe vera (the succulent plant), this is pleasant eaten as a dessert . Cool & cleansing tastes
Crispy pancake stuffed with red bean paste $16. A classic Chinese dessert . Even though it’s fried, the sweet bean paste subdues the savouriness. U can’t stop at 1 piece 😂
Crabmeat in scrambled egg white , some carrot puree & truffle oil $64. Carrot added colour, truffle an aromatic hint. Easy-to-share dish. Suitable for those on soft diet
This is theme dining. The decor. The live band with a songstress. It would the perfect venue for a 上海灘 theme dinner party.
Wheat gluten cooked with mushrooms & bamboo shoots $28. Multi-textured & savoury dish. Totally plant-based. I counted 17 vegetarian dishes in the menu, including desserts
Soak in the Shanghai lounge vibe with live singing on stage while u eat. Performance starts at 7:15pm until 10pm, with the band taking 15-mins breaks on the hour
Fried string beans $48. Delicious with the added flavouring of minced pork & dried shrimps . Unsure if it’ll still taste this good for those ordering a strict plant-only dish
Glutinous dumpling $8. A very pretty bowl of dessert . Enjoyed the mini plain rice dumplings in a perfumed base of osmanthus & fermented rice wine
Smoked duck $64. This dish was the highlight for our table of 15. Succulent & distinctive flavours. Enjoy it on its own, or wrapped in fresh lettuce leaf
Osmanthus jelly (they call it pudding ) with edible gold flakes & wolf berries $6. Pretty. Refreshing, clean flavours
Soufflé egg white filled with red bean paste & stewed banana ($12 for 4 pcs). A light but dangerously sweet treat !
Additional charges. Besides usual 7% GST & 10% for service, there’s also levy for tea/water ($3.80/pax) & peanuts ($3.50/side dish). White rice is $2.20/bowl. Let staff know upfront what u don’t want
Chilled lettuce $24 as a starting cold dish, to whet the appetite. Peanuts (chargeable; decline if u don’t intend to eat them) are also left on the table to munch on while waiting for your orders
Stir fried sharks fin next to a bowl of superior chicken broth , deep fried eel , shanghai dishes beautifully crafted along with a live band and shanghai jazz . An excellent dining experience
Meal & performance . One of the rare Chinese restaurants in Singapore, adding to the dining experience
Braised beancurd with crab meat & crab roe $56. The pricetag raised eyebrows. The justification is that it is a large claypot . Nothing memorable
Stir-fried river shrimps with green peas $64. We feel the peas did nothing other than to offer contrast. The prawns were springy to chew. Very light marinate
Pork knuckle . Crisp, not crunchy or hard, skin. Melt in the mouth fat. Tender meat. Love it that way? Order this.
Drop-off/pick-up point is conveniently in front of restaurant . Car park entrance is nearby
The chandeliers project a sense of grandiose & lux as you enter the restaurant
Lovely atmosphere, tasty food, comfortable with live music .
Drunken chicken in Chinese wine $32. Enjoyed this cold wine-infused dish
For those thinking of throwing a wedding banquet, remind your guests arranged to sit on Upper Tiers, not to wear anything TOO SHORT !
For small dining groups 2-3 persons, these booths look entertaining
Awesome ambience - great food with nice live Chinese oldies
Ambience, music , deco
Place to go if you want oldies songs to go with the shanghainese food. Popular during the weekends.

樟茶鸭味道不错,蟹肉粉皮也很好
Reasonably priced Teochew fare. The traditional Orh Luah (oyster omelette) is nice and crispy. Also like the duck meat platter and pig trotter platter. Will be back to try other stuff. - Ting
My all time favorite - Crispy Nonya Tauhu! The nonya cabbage roll - T. SY
La La Hor Fun, Chilli crabs, black pepper crayfish, silver fish fried rice and crispy duck. Yummy! - Kim-Geck Lim
