Always enjoy coming here when in Leeds. Great beer , fantastic unspoilt interior and seating outside also. Recently had a huge and tasty Ploughman's sandwich with an excellent pint of XPA. Top notch!
Stunning interior--brass bar , heavy tables. It's a glorious pub that's looked after well by lovely staff . The outside tables are great in the summer, and they run regular beer events .
Pretty sure this is the oldest pub in Leeds and, though it keeps a lot of its character, you wouldn't be able to tell — the interior is traditional but clean and well maintained.
Previous CAMRA National Pub of the Year runner up. Food served Wednesday to Sunday. Excellent and large selection of real ales .

I'm not sure it is up to the 'old' standards but it is fairly unchanged, still serves Old Peculiar & although the silver service is long gone the food is good! The brass bar is ALWAYS worth a look
