Came here for SF restaurant week and absolutely loved their food! It's been a while since I have found a restaurant that lived up to they hype. Get the wagyu beef and grilled bone marrow ! My favorite!
Hamachi Serrano, blue fin tuna flight, wagyu flat iron seal, chocolate cake ,Moscow mule , taco appetizer , dumpling appetizer , and setting sun cocktail : loved ! Meh on mushroom hotpot and snowcrab sushi
Very few places offer Kobe A5. Here you will find it prepare on the Robata. Grill. This is considered one of the most delicate and tasty things to eat on earth. The price is MP.
This place seriously has amazing food. Must try the short ribs , start with spicy edamame and lamb chops were so tender and fantastic!
Modern and trendy lunch/dinner spot. Lunch special is a good deal . Sashimi and miso were great, black cod was a bit flavorless and hard to eat with chopsticks.
Surprising standouts: green tea , best California roll I've had, brussel sprouts , edamame . Fish and steak are great too but not as surprising.
Amazing cocktails especially their Port Antonio daiquiri (with Rhum Agricole!!) And their chicken bites and wagyu beef dumplings are a win!
Such a sneaky and awesome bar downstairs! Amazing for dates! Highly recommend the bar as its still undiscovered!
Great food! Save up$$$$$, spectacular service. Can be a bit slow
Must get their butterfish tataki as well as the beef tataki . The lobster tempura is so yummy!. The nigiri are nothing specials. Shishito peppers are good too! Service is not the best either.
The seared sushi isn't to be missed. The tuna selection is solid. Between the edamame go for the spicy one. Ask for josh he's the best waiter here !
Everything here was delicious, both sushi and steaks , as well as the shaved ice dessert that is definitely meant to be shared
Prime beef filet was one of the best steaks I ever had. Sea bass was good too.
Show up 20 mins before your reservation , and check out Roka Bar downstairs. They nailed the Tokyo aesthetic.
The omakase here is nuts ! So much (tasty) food, we literally couldn't finish. Really great Pokémon spawn here too!
Downstairs ambiance is great - food is delicious (large portions - for one)
Tempura chicken is great, filet is great, beer doughnuts are great.
Robata stuff is terrific. Lamb chops , rib eye . Also try shrimp tempura with its genius dip
After hearing that this place is better than sushi ran and in sf I was excited to go. Unfortunately it was a disappointment. Perhaps next time I'll try and get a seat at the bar and order the omakase .
Food and service is very good, just the restaurant is too noisy . Wagyu beef is so tasty.
❤️Brussel sprouts . Toro roll. Heirloom tomato salad . And mango shochu .
Excellent lineup of veggie sushi and dishes; especially good for a power lunch spot .
Best value Dine About Town $40 for great food.
I thought the service was excellent! Get the Crispy Fried Squid and Spicy Edamame !
Butterfish tataki , prime beef filet , and black cod were all great. Sushi rolls were decent but not amazing. Pork belly was awful and shisito peppers could use lemon juice and some kind of oil- too dry
Loved it! Every dish was awesome. Try as much as you can!
Good sushi but the dish to get is the pork belly and wagyu beef
Stunning presentation and quality food, but for a price.
Passable food and very expensive . The only decent deal is the USD 28 set business lunch .
Amazing service, beyond delicious food. The fish is probably the freshest I've ever had.
Even though the sushi is good-ish, you'd want to get the grilled/seared meats here. That's what they do right.
Fantastic Japanese Wagyu
Best sushi I have ever eaten!! Everyone should come here!
Great drinks. Haven't tried the food yet. Shochu and chartreuse
Beautiful place. Delicious food. Terrible and unorganized staff . Order the Omakase - it mostly makes up for the poor service.
Wow. Had the chef 's menu. Everything was remarkable. Amazing food!
Fresh sushi and great lunch specials .
Try the decadent omakase ...it is worth every penny...so yummy!!!
the wagyu beef made me wagme tail
Loved the black cod ???? also the corn
Best japanese food and lounge vibe in SF right now
Happy hour in the basement bar is outstanding
I like open kitchens with flames!
Good for business set lunches or nice dinners
Skip the sushi and stick with the grilled dishes. And if your server says the portions are small, they lie!
Bery good food!!! Nice and cozy place
The choice and quality are great
Toro sashimi , black cod and wagyu steak .
The escolar tataki is delicious!
Omakase is best option. Great Journey.
Loved the vegan menu. Avocado Maki were beyond good. Fried tofu delicious as well. - Andrew Pandrew
Omakase is pricey, but delicious. Recommend getting the waygu and foie gras nigiri. Sooo good! - Vicki Tran
Yakitori, katsu, sashimi... everything is amazing. Don't miss the limited items. Udon > donburi. - Alex Priest
Try the tonkatsu ramen with pork belly, the pork jowls and chicken meatballs. - Anton Shuster
Classic cocktails, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Wide selection of spirits. My go-to is a gin martini with extra olives. - Brodie Olmstead
Great food for an Irish pub! I had a fish special and clam chowder, both of which were great. - Tarah Feinberg
Super busy on weekends, more accessible during late nights and weekdays. Cocktails are imaginative and bartenders are super knowledgeable. Kitchen is open late with always delicious food. - Fai Visuthicho
